+1. You could be one of those touched by God people who just crushes it from the word go (Not common at all), but you don't know until you try. Also, if you find that moto isn't the best fit for you, you could always race off-road. Many off-road champions didn't bag their first title till their late 20's/early to mid 30's. You will run into a lot of people your age who'll tell you they aren't as fast as they used to be. At 43, I get that all the time. My response is this: I'm not as fast as I'm going to be Woohoo

Your last comment in you op may regulate you to hobby status. if you are going to do it you have to hit it hard and never waiver one minute. looks like you have a good lil bike there now find a trainer like i did, and go for it. but mx takes absolute commitment. whatever you decide that rm will rip a smile on your face

Oh no make no mistake man I plan on giving it all I have once I get my bike up and running, and I'm committed to being one of the best and fastest on the track man. But I will be looking into getting a trainer for sure I never thought about that, thanks for putting that in my head man.

Yeah you need a spotter. I am all over the place right now, my rhythm is completely off so I am either tight or riding over my head not hitting my marks. He watches me and helps me with my body placement and watching the lines I am selecting. He has lined up behind Mcgrath several times and is a personal friend so I trust him.

Right now I am just terrible and am afraid a crash is imminent when it doesn't need to be. I cannot ride at the speed I am comfortable with. It has been 10 years so there is a curve but I should not be putting in as much effort to go this slow.
