thats about the last thing you should be looking at while riding. throw that thing in a backpack with the gps on and pull it out after your ride.

Lol. I wasn't planning on looking at it while I was riding. The app records the data, and I can look at it after the ride.

I remember MXA had featured in their new products section an iPhone bracket that mounted to the back of the fork tube, like a transponder. It was in an issue about 12-18 months ago. If anyone can find the issue this was in please post, I'd like to buy one too. It could keep track of your lap times by GPS, and a few other things....

Can't you just get a speedometer thing that attaches to your handlebars for laps and shit? My bike came with one. Not sure how much I would trust the GPS to give you accurate readings. Should just find someone who can time your laps for you if you're that concerned.
That being said I am pretty positive I have seen those things in person (and then scoffed at them), so they do exist.
***I just googled handbar mounts iphone 6 and theres lots to pick from. Though I wouldn't go cheap.

RAM makes a great product. I used one for my Baja trip and it worked great. the plastic face cover was pretty cheesy though. never tried it with moto stuff, but they work great for offroad

RAMMOUNTS

if you don't want to look at it while you ride, i would suggest an arm-band unit like what joggers wear. that or throw it in a ziplock baggie and stuff it in your airbox. backpack, fannypack, etc...
