Best 250f around $2000-$2500

Hey guys, I'm trying to get back into riding and need some opinions on what bike to get. I had a yz125 for a few years and loved it but had to sell it to pay for college. That was about a year ago and not having a bike is sending me nuts, so I'm looking to buy another bike. I'd like to go the 4 stroke route and I'm kind of looking at a 2006 yz250f for $2300. Does that seem about right for that bike? Or should I look at something else? Any opinions are appreciated. Thanks!

That price sounds about right for the year if it's in decent shape. If you haven't got your feet wet with 4strokes yet, I'm just going throw this out there... Although you can tune a carb pretty tight, for a couple hundred more dollars you could find some 2010 FI's out there. But don't buy a cheap ragged out bike just to get FI either. Use your experience and best judgment and youll find a decent bike.

Thanks for the advice! That bike ended up getting sold before I had a chance to check it out in person so im still on the hunt for one.

i just picked up this beaut for $1600. 2007 crf250r. runs perfectly. but i got a hell of a deal haha

The nice thing about the Yamaha that bike did not change much over 10 years so there is plenty off new/ used parts out there

Yeah that is a huge plus for me, I got looking at the header pipe and noticed it had a crack in it but i was able to find one that same day and got back to riding!
