"That's because Octopus/Spurts not only ran the series, they run a magazine to tell the story, a web site, and hijacked Vital!

There are no sites like roadracing world in MX that know it like it is and tell it like it is. Even MXA is behaving as far as that goes. I know they work hard at Spurts, and there is no one else to do it, but things are not like they seem. Ask the tracks if they are happy losing money! (and who can they tell? No one) Smile

Spurts does not have the money to spread out into road racing."

Hijacked Vital? Really?

You could have mentioned that this was a copy/paste of a TFS post. Smile

That is why I provided the link to the other forum. Sorry about not mentioning the cut/paste.

I respect what DC and his family do, and I think I've been fair in what I post both regarding the GPs and U.S. scene.

I sleep okay at night, and if I wasn't trying to be fair and unbiased, I wouldn't.

DC didn't hijack this place he just recognised the best place going at the time.

TFS might be slim now but he carries that grudge around like an Elephant.

TFS is doing fine working for NASA last I heard. One of the reasons he can keep pulling all the pot shots is he doesn't depend on moto for a living anymore.

i dont care who you like or dont like, i am was and will always be a pro lurker. everything that developed over that boiled down to 1 thing, TFS backed the wrong horse, it didnt work out, an anthill got made into a mountain because TFS was butt hurt, and now DC in particular....... lets make no illusions here, when TFS talks Spurts, hes talking RacerX/MxSports and meaning DC in particular..... is the devil incarnate because out of every person in the industry, name 5 that are as qualified, passionate, share-the-wealth, giving, and competent as DC. I can think of 2, DC and Mike Kidd..... leaving us with what? Do we want another Whitlock? I shudder to think if Jody ran it, literally, who else?

I dont give a flying rat fuck if DC owns RX or not. Ask around, GuyB, does he ruthlessly control everything news? Mathhes? Does he? Weege?

TFS had to have something after, thank god, GL and YS didnt get the nats here, to get on his high horse. So, he conjures up a monster and buids it in his own mind.

imo, hes old news, isnt in the industry anymore, so hes words have no more weight than mine do. And if I can be full of poop, then so can he.

move on.

I remember when Vital got the website of the year at the FIM awards. I know the other forums and websites were laughing at it like 'vital' what?! 'mx' who?! Just a couple years on and it doesnt seem so daft now all of them are on board. Im sure Guyb remembers those comments and who made them but you'd never guess lol.

Bruhn wanted his boys to run the outdoors. He backed the wrong horse and now has to act like his ship-jumping was some sort of moral obligation.

Great GREAT post!
If GuyB were a grudge holder I would suggest this as a sticky but unlike TFS, he moves forward.

That was supercross.com, Lex's site, right in the middle of the 2007 breakdown, when TFS had left Motonews to take up residence there for a bit until the 15 regulars in the forums there put up a stink because they didn't like him. That led to Racetime. And a lot of other things.

Cox was given the Journalist of the Year for MXI at the same event.

No disrespect to Lex or Cox, but those were very cynical, YS driven choices to validate anything other than RX related people. They were trying to woo Cox and others (after jacking with Cox a couple years before in the same way they jacked with your original Brit team manager this year).

I think GuyB's participation was limited to invited press and trying to duck the crossfire. But maybe you're thinking of a different year?

The northern California coastal foothills and wine country are among the most wonderful places in the world, especially spring and this time of year. Been over a lot this fall for soccer, visiting family in Napa and my daughter up at Humboldt State.

Imagine hitting Sears for local mx as we used to be able to way back when. Get's pretty baked in the summer, though.

Actually, errr, ahem, a lot of that area gets baked all year long.

I read somewhere in a Euro mag that you were just a farmer looking for a new place to plant crops. Damm Farmers always getting in the way of progress.
