2016 Yz450. Bought it used with 6hrs on it. Was a little apprehensive after reading reviews, but after riding it yesterday, Im happy I went through with it. Didn't touch a clicker or set the sag and it was phenominal. At 5'11 180, it suits me much better then my 250f did.

So far, so good! Smooth power and lots of it! The forks aren't great but I don't have a serious problem with them. And they aren't as bad as some make them out to be, IMO. At the moment the only changes I've made are RC High's and ARC levers. At 6'3" I'm considering a +20mm seat and Fastway pegs, in addition to the tall bars, to open it up a little. This is my first KTM and I can already say that it definitely won't be my last.

Its hard to believe that my 2006 yz250 is now pretty much 10 years old, and instead of upgrading I am looking at buying a 2003-2004 yz250Woohoo

Funny you say that, i was just thinking the same thing about my 06 KX250! I have been wanting a new KX450 but have been thinking about looking for a 1989 CR125 to restore... It was my first new motorcyle i saved up for and bought and still think its a great looking bike!

Is it harder to grip with your knees on those new KTMs? I have an 07 CRF450 so there is the big bar as well as a bit of plastic to grip onto. The plastic does catch on my pants/knee braces at times but just curious.

I had an 07 KX250F and it was really fat, I didn't mind it because it was easier to grip but it didn't feel as agile.

I work at a car wash and someone brought a brand new 2016 kx450f by to pressure wash it. I knew right away it was the 16 and just had to go check it out, needless to say that bike is absolutely gorgeousCool And I may or may not really want one now...

I am liking this bike more and more everytime I ride it. It is the lightest in motion 450 I have ever rode, and I am coming off a crf450, and no I haven't rode the new ktm.

My son got a new 150. If you get a chance to ride one do it, they really are that much fun.

How is the suspension? I am really stuck between this and the 350sxf right now, but heavily leaning towards the 150.

I weigh 190, several of my buddies rode it that are in the 180 range so we were all to heavy for it, but it worked surprisingly well. No problem on jumps, but I bottomed it hard in the whoop section. The forks felt better than my 2015 450fe(maybe cause the bike is so light?). Rear was good besides being undersprung. The bike is a blast to ride, very fast and a lot smoother pull than I expected. Handling and cornering is as good as all the hype.

Like, don't love yet. Still figuring out the KYB air forks. Everything else feels real good. I'm going up a tooth or two in the rear sprocket, 2nd feels a little short so I'm hoping I'll be able to pull 3rd through corners a bit easier.

Great! I am only 155lbs so it would likely fit me better.

Also, I have been looking for details on the optional electric start - did you see anything about this in purchase or the KTM catalogue?

Thanks!

First new bike in 10 years. Coming off of an 06 CRF450, this thing is amazing!
