Who will JGR buy in 2015 to get this Supercross championship they are ultimately going for.

Brayton shows the bike has potential, but id like to see one of the top 5-6 guys get on and win a championship for them.
they have brought a lot to the sport and deserve it.

any insiders have rumors yet?

I could see that, but i don't see barcia winning titles in the 450 class. just my opinion.

I'd think they be focusing on consistant podiums & main events wins, which Barcia certainly has the potential to do.

JGR already tried the buy a championship route, but technically in motocross/supercross there is no such thing as buying a championship, so that makes the question a bit invalid Smile

I have to agree. Justin's fast, but inconsistant and wastes too much time trying to live up to his nickname.

How about a list of top riders that would be available ?

Brayton for sure deserves another year or 2

NOW, i don't wanna turn this into a negative barcia thread, or any rider for that matter. just some bench racing and who we think we end up at JGR.

I do however disagree about buying championships. you can purchase a championship but you gotta purchase the right rider first Smile

i wanted to see RV on RED his last year in 2015 but thats not going to happen. GUYB, where did you hear barcia to yam? he's been on a honda for a long time it seems but money talks!

You have a chance at a championship if you purchase the right rider, but buying a championship is still a stretch Wink As no rider is perfect or guaranteed a championship of course.

If you take the available riders and their chances of winning, then JGR would be making a pretty good choice with Justin.

JLaw has always been good on the Yamis Woohoo
On a serious note, I think Barcia would be a good choice.

I agree with those who mention Barcia, I doubt he will be with Honda again, he needs a fresh start and I think Honda's patience might be over?

They could also go after Weston.

On average, Barcia only finishes 2-3 positions in front of Brayton.

There only a few dudes who have the potential to win a championship in the next few years. Unfortunately Barcia isn't one of them.

Weston doesn't have that extra tick it takes to win a championship, at least not yet!

Haha of course you could buy a championship.... but you'd have to have the $$ to pay RV, RD, JS and apparently now Roczen to all ride on your team : ) !!

I think that as long as Brayton is still racing and being competitive, he will have that JGR spot. They seem to click really well, he loves North Carolina, etc. Barcia would be a good fit for the team too. Imagine how confused Erv would get between Justin Barcia and Justin Brayton!

Why would brayton leave? He's putting in great finishes and is making the bike look awesome on tv.

I think it's safe to say that Grant gets the boot after this season though

I don't know where Dungey is in his contract, but it would not surprise me to see him available to a team, especially if Roczen keeps putting up better results.
2/27/2014 5:41pm
I think Dungey is in his last year of contract with KTM. I doubt either party is too thrilled with the results thus far.

If those two team up at JGR which one will forced to change his name to "Charles"? Laughing

KTM may not be thrilled with Dungey, but who else would they get? Would they go down to a 1 man show in the 450 class? Dungey will just have to take a pay cut if he wants to stay at KTM if Roczen wins. If not I could see him possibly going to JGR.
