The next version of that bike will leave jaws on spacebars. Think...the year The King would like to forget. Plus some eleven10 mods collaboration. Roth Racing. Squishy.

Not a single mention of MOTO120's CR250? That build thread left my jaw on the floor. That gets my nomination.

Or wait am I supposed to post a pic of my own build? Tongue

How is everyone putting the late model RM fenders on their bikes, do they all have late model triple clamps or can the fender be retro-fit to older RM's?

Digger 29 gets my vote.

I took the old RM fender and laid on top of the new style fender and really pressed them together and just drilled the 2 new front holes. Definitely pretty primitive but it worked like a charm & I did a number of them this way :-)

I had "Applied" make me a custom bottom triple clamp for my 06 model. You should be able to order it for about a 1/4 of what it cost me to have it made. I had to pay for the CAD design and retooling. Very happy with the finished product.

JFYI, Applied clamps are a lot lighter than OEM clamps.

08 RMZ 450F and up, or a 2010 250F and up front guard is what people are using.

I was looking at them on evil bay and it looked like they had two studs of some sort protruding up the front mounts, grind 'em off?

That's just where the front number plate mounts up.

I don't think it was in a thread but this bike check gets me hot and bothered. I contemplate doing stupid things that could financially cripple my family when I look at her. I've done the math 2-3 times and just end up depressed and sad. She is straight sex.

Thanks, but the bike got better This puppy got a different (alloy) tank, triple clamps and a YRRD (Rinaldi) cdi.

BTW. If you wanted to use the OEM triple clamp I've seen people just drill a couple of new holes in the front guards and whack in a couple of bolts to mount them. Dodgy as fark. Better to use metal Zip Ties rather than bolts IMO.
I could see the knobs been ripped off the tire if you even go close to bottoming out the front end from using the bolts.

Bolts in the original 2 holes at the rear of the guard, metal zip ties in the 2 front holes you'll need to drill out.

I'm not sure if my bike is good enough for top ten for Vital members bikes. If we narrow it down to late model CR250's, I might be in.

I know we are not supposed to post our own bikes, but since everyone is doing it....

Since this pic, pc lower clamp has been installed
Still have some more plans in store for it, plus a special guest riding it...
More can be found about the bike in the build section

There are some amazing bikes on that thread, and here. Wouldn't even know where to begin. But I'll look through again. In the meantime, my ride. Pretty much everything replaced or worked on. new rims, spokes, plastic, tires, chain, sprockets, all bearings, brake pads, handle bars, clutch perch and lever, grips, seat cover, air filter, reeds, springs, suspension rebuilt by Factory Connection, engine rebuilt by Gorr, now a 144.

Off to drool over kick ass 2-strokes!

I guess i have to enter my own as no one will pick and old scoot.

Here's a vintage Honda CR125 Elsinore i built piece by piece as i scoured several motorcycle salvage yards around Phx AZ for several months back in 96. Has parts from 74,75,and 76 and no two parts came from the same bike except the forks i got them as a pair so maybe them.
Still have it and am doing a rebuild soon. I raced it for several years so it's not looking quite this good at the moment but still runs great.
