Our next best would most likely be Brakke / de Reuver.. Lars van Berkel might have the potential to get good results too, but he's still growning alot. I think he will compete in some GP's too.

Just got back.

Last 250 race was great anstie held off herlings for more than half the 2nd race

Didn't hang for the last 450, riding home in the dark with sunday traffic in Thailand is to hair raising.

Track was very good, good crowd tho not many in the vip or stands.

Too long between the 1st and 2nd motos and no music around the track? Very un Thai like,

No one much was cheering cept me, so lacked atmospere

Plenty hot, even with a hat, umbrella and sometimes a jacket, I got burnt.
some crappy ph cam pics

That actually looks like a decent crowd, quite impressed.

Like it or not it will grow in these emerging countries. It can only be a good thing

No MX 3 class anymore, they binned it this year

I thought the MX2 races were great today, Coldenhoff and Febvre were impressive

While I like them not blocking out the sound of the bikes the production quality of the show certainly makes you appreciate the US SX and outdoor broadcasts.

The crowd size looks like it's a local race at chicken licks not a World Championship.

Meh, she talked shit about Luongo and the WMX having no money and being taken as a side show to MX3 races so she quit. Now she's back racing MX2 and giving Luongo money and publicity? Kind of hypocritical but I'll give it to her for racing with the boys in a far off location.

Mike Kras? I haven't seen him do GP's in a while but isn't he still pretty young?

Unless they get injured (and JH is still in recovery mode apparently), hard to imagine anyone challenging AC or JH after watching those 4 motos.

That was out the back side early in the first 250 race.

I would guesstimate 5k + ,considering the lowest tick price is 3 X the basic daily wage 1020 bht vs 300 not bad,
many guys into dirtbikes live upcountry some 600 + kms away so you have to consider that too.

a few were up in the hill watching for free

organization was as good as it gets with seemly very few hitches

Lots of business being done it the promo area, saw a husky fe 350 fully road legal in Thailand, but expensive
bought a new old stock acebis helmet for a song and that outlet "dirtshop" was doing a roaring trade!

great pics , was gutted i could not make it this year i was there the friday the week before,i wanted to go back but needed to put my passport in for a new work permit in indonesia .
crowd looks smaller than last year but as you said ticket prices are the cause of that , saying that it keeps the masses away and makes watching better .
huge effort from Herlings and Caroli both coming off injury

I don't know a whole lot about the GP circuit, just trying to get into it. Can someone tell me why AC runs 222 instead of #1? Is it a marketing thing? You would think red bull/KTM would want that #1 on the bike.

The Average Thai yearly income is about $6,000 , You really think those people have money to pay for anything more than necessities ?

Cool man maybe next time they will move it closer to where more folks interested can make it to the races and lower the ticket price for those folks. It's a shame if they have to pay 3 days wage to see a race in their back yard. Like was said in the Qatar thread it's more about TV anyhow so might as well let the people enjoy a great show without making hard choices. just a thought...

youth stream charge 1,200,000 euro for thailand to hold the race , i don't think they really care if the locals turn up to watch , also its on thai TV so they get to watch it . the industry support is not bad lots of local companies there with displays etc , and the ones that do turn up can afford to buy the stuff .

6000 wage is very good most would be closer to 4000 - 5000 a year
