Looks like a sweet bike I can't afford it or I would buy it!

Question it says in the last picture on the post which apparently was written by Christian Craig
That he was wanting to race this 125 AT Millville pro national and AmA would allow it
So just wondering from all people with more knowledge than me
Why would that be ? That it wouldn't be allowed. .

And question number 2 do you think I could do well as in top ten
On this in my local vet classes 40+

Thanks for your replies

the AMA rules only allow for bikes to be so many years old before theyre no longer on the "approved for competition use" list.

^^^ That and the fact that it is a big bore would also be a no-no even though it would still get smoked by a current 250f.

Local vet classes usually aren't ama(in pnw at least) and I can't imagine they are going to make him take the top end off or even care that it's over bored. Most vet classes are open classes.

Those bikes were such dogs that a big bore kit should have been mandatory to race them...

To be perfectly honest with you, if you have to ask if you'll do well on it I'd say "No".

I am a 40+ 125 rider but just ride the practice track for fun these days. I am certain I'd be faster on a 4 stroke and you would be too. I don't know what it's like at your track, but out here in NJ/PA/NY, the 40+ classes are pretty damn fast. If you really want to do well, it's not your best buy. But if you want to smile a lot then pull the trigger!
