Great players....no doubt about it.
All the guys gigging in that band have tremendous chops and I don't take anything away from their skill as musicians.

But GnR was an epic band that wrote some awesome songs....Chinese Democracy was absolute shit in my opinion.

A truly great band is much more than just skilled musicians, there is a little bit of magic involved as well.
They haven''t been Guns and Roses since the original members split.

A great band in there day, to bad the original group parted ways. Slash will always be one of the greatest. A friend of mine always hated them,, called them Drums and Rotors( brake drums & brake rotors),,, lead singer Axle Grease,, lead guitar Sludge.

I'm sorry to say it, but It was as lame as Ace Frehley last year (epic fail) or even when Zack Wylde attempts to play it. The only guy who played it amazingly was Hendrix. Next time, choose a guy with soul who knows how to play without a band, a guy like Popa Chubby for an example. Those rockstars with their crappy overdrive sounds are always deceiving and don't do justice to this beautyful piece of music...

I get the demographic and the choice for the anthem, but does anyone ever just SING it anymore? It is such a beautiful anthem and it wouldn't hurt to be respectful to the song for the short time it takes to sing it. I don't care at all for these guitar riffs-okay call me old fashioned or whatever. Take your cap off, be respectful of the song, and enjoy the racing.

In fact, I short be more blunt-I hate those guitar riff anthems. They can all play no doubt, but that isn't the point.

Just my opinion but Chinese Democracy would have never been released if it was some unknown bands first effort.
