does it really make a difference on what company ports/polishes a head? does pro-action do anything differently than pr2, (and insert any big company here to follow)

i would be under the assumption thatas long as the ports are cleaned and finished properly, it would produce the same effect

where do they get their porting specs from is my question. Then there's the pure craftsmanship that goes into the work.

Anybody that has experience and a FLOW BENCH should know what there doing. Every engine builder has there own secrets on what they believe works. There is porting that is designed around Cams, pipes, fuel, ignition. You just need to be up front with what you want out of an engine. Also don't tell the Engine builder that your a really fast A rider or Pro when you are really a alright B rider. You won't be able to ride what he does. Just be up front with who ever you sen it to.
