Why only around 25 riders on gate mx2 Glen Helen? Is it same in Europe? Was wondering if many riders just couldn't make it or find it worth their while to travel here.

No. Numbers have been pretty good this year. Lot of people didn't make the trip or are injured

21 in moto 2. With Oldenburg out, only 20 riders circulating. 17 running at the checkers.

More or less all the riders highlighted red are injured or just didn't travel to America. Guys like Ferrandis and Jonass would have probably been inside the top five these couple few weeks. Ferrandis certainly.

Well what's odd is you would think would be a bunch of people out trying to qualify to make it and then take the top 40. So does that mean only 25 people tried to qualify or did the event only take 25?

In mx here in our series there is what probably 60 to 80 people trying to qualify and 40 make it in?

And as you can see there are plenty more that didn't travel either...

I think only 25 riders entered Glen Helen full stop.

40 MX2 riders entered for Valkenswaard which was the first European GP of the season.

Gotcha. That's what I figured was many didn't make it and then only 25 tried to qualify with all making it of course.

Just very odd not to see a full gate.

No start or purse money probably kept a lot of American riders from attending. More so for the privateers. Otherwise the gate would have been full of SoCal/West Coast U.S. pro's.

Probably would've made some of the guys from Europe who didn't make the trip consider going over too

Yes, exactly. They need to put up some money for the travel rounds(Mexico, Thialand, etc..)
