Driving from Austin to Houston Tuesday to pick it up. Haven't had a new bike since '99. Cheerful
Going straight to the Sam Houston National Forest with it, forecast says rain, they close the trails when it does.

I had raging wood when I saw "Beta 500" in the title, then I scrolled down and saw it had valves and a cam. Still, enjoy it.

I had a 2013 beta 450RR. Worst bike I've ever owned ha. I hope you enjoy yours more than I enjoyed mine. They're a sweet looking bike for sure, and I wish I would've got a 2 stroke beta and maybe I would've liked it more. The 450 was just so clunky feeling. And I'm not sure if the parts are better or not now, but it took me about a month to get a shift pedal in when I broke mine off. Hopefully since they've been around a little longer now the part situation is better. Regardless, they are a high quality machine and high quality company

Just curious. Did you get yours for Moto or offroad?

follow the link, don't believe everything you read online. A lot of KTM dealers realize the threat that Beta represents to a few of their nitches.

This is a totally redesigned engine. Generation III.

Yeah I didn't mean to sound like a negative Nancy. It just didn't mesh well with me I think. I have a few friends who rode mine and lived it and actually bought one. Everyone is different in every way possible.

Gringoe, I had mine for offroad.

An excellent looking purchase. I know u should stand up when riding, but sometimes my EE tall seat is nice to lounge in.

a bit more info on my Build Your Own Beta (BYOCool here:

http://www.thumpertalk.com/topic/1109793-beta-2015-500-rs-has-arrived/

Drtbykr: I'll try the seat and see what I think. Maybe a Seat Concepts for Dual Sporting?

AGN5009: This bike will be my only one, and it seems to have a better chance at doing it all than anything else to me.

EnduroX: Yes, I'll post up how it goes..

Scooter5002: No not this one...But Wow, full floater

Got it today. Took it to 3 Palms Adventure park in Conroe and had the track to myself all day.

The engine pulls like a diesel, I even had the stock 15-48 and it pulls strong.

Never even set the sag, may have caused a slight push in the sand, could be the michelins too?

Suspension better out of the box than '12 and '13 pumpkins I have ridden.

There is no noticeable drawback to this street legal bike on the track, maybe even a few advantages....

I'll not have too much sorting to do it appears.

had a top EWC rider on a Beta blow past me at Dunkirk last Christmas in the deep sand, brake light and all! The bike looked awesome and he pounded out laps for an hour+ at a time.

This should up the fun factor, a 2nd set of OEM wheels with IRC GP1 50/50 tires.

Before you think the engine is gonna blow, owners are reporting 200-300 hours with no problems, (none have run them farther than that so far) and oil changes on 20-30 hour intervals coming out looking good. The separate gearbox oil compartment keeps clutch wear contamination out of the engine.

I did my 1st race in years early December at a TORCS event in Rockne TX. I have to share this photo I found on www.texasoffroad.net. I got 4th in Over 50 C and my last lap was my fastest. 1 hr. 21 minutes total. It felt like old times, but I wasn't pushing, just cruising. Great to have a bike again and get back to one of my favorite places.

Betas are supposed excellent pure woods bikes, especially the two stroke models. I'm thinking of buying new next year and I absolutely have a beta 2t on the short list if I get a new bike. I love mx bikes, but I'll never ride an off road bike as good as my old 02 kdx200. That was the perfect non-competition woods machine. Just a pure tractor and all the tractable power I ever needed. Traded it to a 97 rm250 and realized quick that mx bikes aren't made for slow riding in rocky terrain lol. Burnt many a clutch up.

A guy I know a little bit sells them in Atlantic Canada now, Clay's Off-Road in Moncton.

He knows bikes, and he sure can ride them.

I bought my KTM in 2006 because it was "exotic". Lol, sheit, now they are everywhere!

They look a lot like a KTM. Looking at the front hubs, brakes and rear swing arm.
