Motosport.. I buy everything from them.
Why? No local moto shops? A consistent customer at a dealership will get a better deal than at Motosport.com. If no one will help you, find another dealer that will deal with you and ship to your door. The dealers need all the help they can get!

I do not have any SG-10s in size 14.
I do have some Tech-7's in size 14 in the white/grey color for 235.00

Size 10 I think. I'm wearing an old pair of Tech 7s that are size 10.

Motosport is a motorcycle just like your LOCAL dealer except they are a BIG player with internet sales as are Dennis Kirk, Chaperral, Bobs, etc., they are dealers too.

The SG-12s look great but it looks like they only make them up to size 13.

I attended a Alpinestars demo a month ago, where they talked about the release of a new set of Tech 8's. They're moving more towards the Tech 10 technology, but keeping the sole and toe-plate of the Tech 8. Alpinestars really wants to get away from the old sole style, and move to the Tech 10 replaceable type sole, but the customers rule in the end and there is a cult following for that boot!

I still have some Alpinestars and Fox boots on closeout. Check my Vital MX blog for a list and pricing.

The sole on my T8s wearing out way too soon and with total destruction, caused my permanent move to Gaerne.

I'm about to do the same.....just not sure which brand to switch to. How do the Gaerne's last in comparison to the Alpinestars? I've been using Alpinestars for years but I'm getting tired of the soles destroying. I have Tech 10's and it doesnt take long for the sole to go all the way down to the metal plate thats under there. I wouldnt mind it so much, but when it happens at the rate that it does........it just becomes too much of a hassel sending them in and all that good stuff.

the comments I've seen say the soles on the Gaerne's last a very long time. I'm assuming these people ride... Wink

My A-Stars have been good boots, but, I've heard so much good stuff about the Gaerne's and about how durable they are that I thought it was time to give them a try.

I'd shop locally, but I don't know of anyone around here that carries them.

Comfort
Durability
Little to no break in time

If those three are important, you will not be disappointed in SG10's and even better with SG12's if you can afford them.

If the 10's are as good as everyone says, I'll be happy. I can't see paying ~500 for a pair boots when I've been very happy with an old pair of Tech 7s.

I ride what I consider to be full MX seasons, Mar-Oct, and generally two classes, two days per weekend, so even though I am pretty easy on gear, my boots get a workout.

My SG10s last three seasons and I then sell them on ebay. Soles are not an issue!

Oh, I just remember my riding buddy latching his Tech 10s buy hammering the buckles shut with a large crescent wrenchLaughing and cussing the whole time!

SG10s fit big vs Tech 8s . Never got used to the pivot on the inside of the ankle hitting the frame. Made me want to move my feet in all the time. Very well made boots. I ended up in another brand because of that.

Haha......I have totally been there. For some reason that little pin thingy in the buckle gets bent and I have to beat the hell out of them to get them buckled. I'm sweating my ass off just trying to buckle my boots before I even start riding.......it pisses me off.

Actually, I have bought some of the 661 Flight boots for spares for when I have to send my Tech 10's in to be resoled, and you are 100% correct about them. They are great boots, I've even been using them a lot more lately than my Tech 10's.
