So was there a 450 2nd moto if i didnt know anybetter i would think it was 50 minutes of advertisements. I get it they sponsor the coverage but there was about 10 min of actual racing coverage. The highlight show shows more racing

well here is something you don't see very often, a thread complaining about the TV coverage...

network tv will eventually die a slow painful death...old farts that won't change their mentality. cable and phone (4g and greater) will eventually kill it). just a matter of time. you wont have tv network to complain about then.

Please just start offering a paid, non-interrupted, full-moto stream. You can hate MXGP, but at least they got top notch online live coverage.

advertising in general has gone several yards past the line in the sand. each cable network is squeezing every penny from it they can. you can thank the new MBA college grads who come in blazing with "wicked smarts" (NOT) and new ideas to gain quick visibility. that's all it is btw. at the end of the day however, while they earn these providers more revenue, they ruin the experience. kinda like land developers in Austin who keep gutting our beautiful hill country.

i wish there was a way to boycott them all, but try watching MSNBC or Fox news (that was balanced ok) and it's non stop commercials. it's simply ludicrous and our only hope are subscription based services like Netflix, primed to burn the whole thing down like Sodom and Gomorrah. and they all deserve it.

i'll wait for the race to be put in the archive then watch then.
the coverage for the outdoors is to much of a pain for me.

Compared to the first few races last year on NBC it wasn't that bad, however still too many interruptions. Hopefully the kinks work out.

Do we really need to see the track map before every moto? 4 times is way to much IMO.

bingo. goes for every channel out there. we need a subscription based service like "Netflix for sports". i would gladly pay them $10/mo just to crush these companies for having pushed their revenue greed past the line of acceptability. and that's coming from a conservative capitalist!

Well, they sold half of the time to ads....at least half I think that the argument that MX is so unpopular that they are doing us a favor by even broadcasting can finally be laid to rest.

I really don't care if the sport gets more exposure or not. Just let me fork out a bunch of money every year and show me 35 minutes of uninterrupted moto.

Always seems to cut out right during a brewing battle.

The on-line racing is more frustrating as it's a lesser quality and not as great a viewership. Every 4minutes and 30 seconds it seemed they would run 3 minutes of commercials and prior to commercials they would turn the camera to that Kawasaki golf cart rolling through the pits as a setup to more Kawasaki commercials. Whomever said above it's better to wait and watch the archives is spot on. I know they need to generate revenue but isn't there a better way to not interrupt the actual reason we're watching so frequently? These people are much smarter than this.

How long is it after the final race that they put up the archives?

Its not just the fact that there are commercials, its mostly there timing is complete shit. Also i feel like if we are watching online, wtf is the point it doesn't even show ads its just a damn screen that says coverage will resume shortly. I feel as if thats pretty shitty, so much so that I actually made a forum post.

Watched the race on my iPad and the go pro shits during the live race was awesome. I thought it was good coverage, STFU about the coverage or we will have the old month delay ESPN shipped directly to your house. Just please stop bitching.

Whatever you saw on NBC was more than I got. Showing track and field on Uverse in Houston. Ultimate slap in the face as this is worse than watching golf.

Yep, everybody should just shut up and be happy we don't have to wait for cycle news like we did in the 70"s. GUESS WHAT. This ain't the 70's. Or 80's, or 90's. This is freaking 2014 and I expect much better coverage than we had 20, 30 or even 40 years ago.
