Any of you really old (like me) duffers remember when Honda offered a 23 inch front wheel?
If I remember correctly, it was optional on the CR's at least one year. Around 1981-1983 I'm guessing.
Probably be almost impossible to find a replacement tire for one now.

Many people modded the frames of the 79 CR125 in order to run a 21" front tire.

does anyone for the life of them remember or know of an motto that was run next to laguna seca raceway?
i remember as a kid my dad always went to watch the car racing and i would sit in the stands and look off to the side and could see dirt bikes running on a track or maybe it was just a recreational spot.

this would have been around 77-79 time frame.

The 1979 CR250 didn't have the 23, only the CR125 and xl/xr 250 and 500.

Tim Myers ran a few races at Laguna Seca. I raced one of them ON my 125 Puke and the year was 1973. It was a rad sand track and I remember the start straight ran about 100 yards , then the bottom dropped out for 40-50 yards.

Ditto.....loved that bike as well. I remember being the only Honda on the line in some races, and always pulling good starts. Some SOB stole that thing, and to this day I would still like to put a bullet in that bastard.
