"Let's get ready to rumble!"

Are you really surprised? These are the same people who bring you championship wrestling and monster trucks. Unfortunately, nobody seems to be able to make up their mind whether SX is a sport or a sideshow.

It's the AMA and FIM's job to enforce it.

It's LiveNation's job to promote it, sell tickets, and put butts in the seats.

Money over ethics, how very typical.

Yeah and they'll drop us like a hot potato as soon as they think they aren't making enoght money. When folks say they don't need the AMA they should take this kind of thing into consideration.

That's one way to look at it.

Another way is to remember that CCE/LiveNation is not new to promotion; they know how to "sell" to their market, and by choosing that particular footage to "sell" the sport, they are implicitly endorsing that type of behavior... in effect, they are saying "come to a supercross, and you'll get to see THIS type of action..."

Lets not call that a brawl, more like a pushing match.

I am so over the deep growling voice of whatever or whoever it is on all of the commercials and opening ceremonies. They must have got a helluva a rate on some announcers skills or lack thereof.

Just an enthusiastic, factual welcome and expression of excitement would be plenty to express the mood of the event. The video does a great job of conveying what we are about to witness.
