Budds Creek, 1999. Complete mudfest. Kevin Windham put on a show. He rode the track as if it were in perfect shape. Must have finished a solid 30 seconds ahead of the next guy.

I was 14 at the time, and he made a fan for life that day.

Thats what i liked about watchins SE. He rode the 98 gp and all other mud and sand races that way. The track would be beyond destroyed and impasssble for half the guys and he would just be standing up zooming around the track, never even dabbing a foot. They asked RC durng a sx who the best mud rider he ever saw and he said Stefan with no hesitation.

I know alot of you dont follow gncc but i think David Knight is the best mud rider ever ever seen personally. I remember watching him at a very muddy lorretta lynns he was dominating juming all the huge peaky jumps, the landings were steeper than the takeoffs for whatever reason and he was just nailing them with precision. I know he would have won muddy sx/mx races

Foxhill mxon with Everts destroying the field for sure is one to remember.

And Millville mudrace (2006 i think?) where RC lapped the field. I remember listening to this race back in the day (instead of livestream there was like some kind of live audio feed you could listen to online) along with live timing and just getting so hyped up seeing RC lap everyone!

The most epic mud race ever. No racer ever put as much heart into trying to finish than this guy did.

Yep, only race I ever remember a bike sticking straight up out of the mud as the rider and crew try to get it unstuck.

Epic. Doug Henry & John Dowd. East coasters showed how it's done. Spectating sucked because you couldnt see anyones # so you didnt know who was leading most of the time but I can say I was there.

HangTown 91 was unreal! It was a river...

Henry's pass for the lead was insane! Down hill right with the track full of water... you couldn't see the lines or dirt. Just a bunch of water. Henry pinned it to pass for the lead. Just nuts.

That was an epic ride!

My day ended in the water crossing back by the oak tree turn, but had a great time for the first 20 minutes or so.

The very 1st LL's. 1982. I was there...125B. Dislocated my shoulder for the 1st time just 3 weeks earlier...at Hangtown, of all places. Still, went to Loretta's and man...we had some rain!

Big Dave got the track dialed and the racing continued without any real problems. That dude wasn't gonna be bothered by "a little rain"...as he said to my dad. My dad still laughs about that.

It REALLY rains in Tennessee.

It was 08 Daytona where Reed lost his motor on the last lap. Incredible race to watch.

I know i got a bad start and went through a set of roll offs in the first lap and tossed them. I was stuck behind Brooks for a few laps. The "river" had a pretty good current actually. Lol.

Yessir, thats the one. Skippy was literally submarine'ing that poor YZF and it couldve used a snorkel.

That poor guy kicked and kicked and kicked that drowned bike until he was so exhausted all he could do is sit on that bale. Nobody can ever say that dude doesnt have the heart of a champion after that one.

That 2013 Mammoth GNCC was pretty wild. I watched Kailub Russell's bike blow up right in front of me and towed him in, towed Charlie Mullins in almost two hours after the race ended, found Takeshi Koikeda stuck going downhill and towed him in, towed 3 bikes at once (staggered) and threw away 2 of 3 checkpoint EZ up tents that collapsed from so much mud on them (easily weighed over 200lbs)
