Tomac- Double shoulder surgery (biggest injury of his career so far), Still learning the bike under different conditions. I don't think it is panic time by any means. Eli has always been better outdoors so we can judge more when the summer rolls around. He's been top 5 every round except for 2 this supercross season. There is also more talent this year (IMO).

Hahn- Sure, his results have been slow. He too is coming back from big injuries from last year. I think Wil should be finishing between the 5-10 place range. I think he will get there before the year is over. He has the talent and determination.

Have the results been slow? Sure, but I don't think its even close to time to panic. The results will come.

Tomac had double shoulder surgery and its a new bike for kawi and a new team for him. Im sure theyd love for him to be winning but im also sure that they understand the reality of his injury and the amount of time for him to be 100 percent again. Hes been in the top 5 besides 2 races which is good considering the talent depth and his injury. He'll be up there battling for wins soon. Im sure everything with kawi knowing his injury is more pointed towards the title next year not this year.

If your last name was Mark I would like you because that would be funky. I'm pretty sure it's not Mark so instead I hate you.

Also, I had double shoulder surgery and set the world record for most push ups in 60 seconds only 2 weeks later. Tomac has had plenty of time since his surgery and still can't beat a guy that only wins championships when all the good riders are hurt, so I hate him too...

Shoulder shmoulder, someone needs to tell him to stop being a pussy and start winning. Either that or check his locker.

Yep, that double shoulder injury definitely caused him to wash out the front end the other night. Look, call it what it is, he hasn't gelled with the bike yet and it's yet to be seen if he can get used to the rear end steering technique, you have to use on the Kawi's. It's not "hating" to talk about what's going on with him...ya bunch of cry babies. Now the thread title was a little dramatic though.... Wink

Double shoulder surgery or not, I'm worried about Eli right now. I'm not going to make any assumptions because I have no idea, but it is troubling. I wouldn't say it's full panic bad, but at least a little worrisome.

Tomac's season so far has fallen below expectations. Tomac is not a fifth place rider. He never has been. Tomac is a guy that should be standing on top of the box and fighting for wins. He would tell you this himself. His shoulders aren't bothering him. People above are assuming that his shoulder surgeries are affecting his results. There's no evidence that this is the case.

And Hahn has had to ride several last chance qualifiers. He gets lapped in the main event. That has to be unsettling for Kawasaki.

Next to Suzuki, Kawasaki has not had a successful season so far.

ML explained the problem very good in a recent tomac topic. they could not set up the bike as normal due to his shoulder injury. so as tomac progressed with his rehabilitation they adjusted the bike to his needs. obviously this happens over a longer period of time. so, yes his bike is probably not 100% to his liking and potential but so is not tomac itself. we are only 6 races in and considering he starts 10th or worst he is not doing to bad.

Tomac isn't a "steer with the rear" kinda guy.

where is this bs coming from anyways? since when can a certain bike only be steered well with the rear. there are so many options to tweak a bike to suit your riding style and the kx is no exception.

I'm a huge Tomac fan and want him to win. I do think his shoulders are affecting him. The bike does not look dialed. Not even close and you can tell. I do not think that has anything to do with his shoulders. I find it very hard to believe his shoulders are so weak they can't set the bike up. Sounds like BS.

One thing you must respect about Tomac is that he never blames the bike or his shoulders. He says he just needs to do better. Something most guys should learn to do.

No, no, the handlebars on the Kawasaki actually turn the rear wheel. This air fork you hear about is actually a fork made out of thin air connected to the rear axle that pivots the rear wheel. Kawasaki thought it was going to be so brilliant but now with these results they are in full panic mode because they might actually have to install a traditional steering stem in the triple clamps.

How much different are the bikes?...If you're riding the bike week end and week out of constant testing, you should know what your bike is gonna do by now...Maybe he's a little gun shy...

It's Tomac's 7th years in the pros. He's got one 250 supercross title. He's not a supercross specialist. Duh! Outdoors is were he shines. It's not the bike.

Here is some insider info for you guys , in case you didn't know.

Eli and his team have that bike set up extremely weird , not anything like the way he would normally set it up. Super soft in the front because his shoulders are still extremely weak. Every week they start making adjustments to the bike to get him closer to the settings where the bike will start to work better and better each and every week. It depends on the track layout as well.

The truth is , it'll be a while before both those shoulders are at 100% or even close to it. And until they are , he can't have the bike setup to ride it like he knows he can. That is why he looks so damn squirley out there.

This isn't an observation , it is a 100% true fact.

So go ahead an keep making those assumptions.
