E-axle... adjustable +/- 3mm. I liked 2mm closer the best... stuck the front end better in corners. What I didn't like is that you lose rotor diameter unless you make a custom caliper bracket or slot the holes to move the caliper back an equal amount.

4CS.

Funny. I hadn't thought about that.

Note: I haven't ridden the new Yamaha stuff ('14/'15); but, all I've heard is a lot of "satisfaction". I've got time on KTM, Husky, Kawi, Honda and Zook.

If you dig the White bikes & ya have to have one...NOW! Get it. They're pretty damn awesome & you've got 4 years of KTM after-market product that'll fit your Hooska.

My pick for best '15...so far...Husky (I like the ergos better than my Katoom) or Kawasaki...that's all I've spent any Real Time on.

I expect the Honda and Yamaha to be pretty damn good, too...Suzuki...maybe.

It REALLY comes down to how the bike feels FOR YOU! Hence, I'm VERY partial to the KXF. On the other hand...a KTM/Husky is soooooo good right out of the box! My KXF has $1400 worth of suspension and a $500 worth of stuff that needed to replace stock crap I didn't like/wore out.

I could take a stock KTM or Husky right to the starting gate...STOCK...& be very happy. That's not something I can say about any of the others. I've been told that I'll feel the same way about the Yamaha...we'll see, soon.

Literally 5 red bikes sitting in the shop right now./

I figure a white one won't dilute me too badly.

thanks! When you say "NOW" I kind of get the feeling like I should wait one more year because something really good is coming out in '16. Am I off on that?

I've ridden a 13 dunge Ktm and it seemed to vibrate a lot more than my 09 Yamaha 450. Both had same amount of hrs. It did get a little better after he took the skid plate off but I wouldn't buy one just for that reason .

I am coming from a 450 to a 350. I would bet there is not one single person on this site who really needs 450 power. More power does not make you faster. The 350 has plenty of power, plenty of torque for 99% of us. Quit pretending you really need a 450. The 350 is not slower people. If you have any skills at all you actually may be faster. But my guess is this will go right over most peoples heads. No surprise.
Totally agree. I had been on a YZ 450 forever and I increased my lap times by 20% on the 350 just because I have to ride it more aggressive. The 350 has all the power you need and more.

I rode all the 2015's KTMs, 350 was my favorite. The 250 four stroke felt slow compared to the 2014 YZ250F and the 450 was a bit too much. The 450 forks worked better for me. The 250 two stroke was the best two stroke I have ever ridden, very easy to ride and keep in the power band. The 125 and 150 not so much. For reference I ride a 2014 CRF450R.
Did you notice much vibration on the 350 from the motor, or the handlebars? More so thru the handlebars since their not rubber mounted?

ML,

If you were a 41 year old VETB type guy that had somehow made it to 2014 only riding 250 2 strokes without ever ever ever owning a 4 stroke, would you go with the 350 or 450?

I am not opposed to either, but, leaning toward the 350 as I'm afraid the 450 will be too much for me. At the same time I'm neurotic enough to be afraid I'll wish I bought the 450 after the fact Tongue

Few questions:

How much do you weigh? (street clothes, not gear)

Do you race often, or just practice?

In the pure essence of fun, the 350. I've rode the KTM one in that video and I went over to Sweden to ride the Husqy as well. I used to be very critical of the 350, mostly because of it's power. But KTM has made massive improvements to that bike since it was introduced. It really is all around fun to ride. It's barely any lighter than the 450, but it has so much less inertia that fights you.

As for the 4CS forks, it's an improvement over the bladder forks. Out of the 250,350, and 450 though, the 350 is my least favorite with the forks. It's not as plush initially as the other two. It has a very similar setting to the 450, but the 450 pushes the front end through the stroke more. The 350 feels a bit deflective initially. (I'm also a bit on the lighter side, 150lbs)

The KTM's 450 has an extremely, extremely broad engine. The down-low power is very smooth, builds through the range, and out revs any other 450 on the market (except for it's white cousin of course). So it's deceiving how fast it really is. It's still a 450 however, it will wear you at.
I'm 200 right now working back down to 185!!!!

I haven't raced since starting riding after 12 year break this past November. On my KX250 I'm good for 5 respectable feeling laps and then I just hit the fun parts of the track until I'm waved off at practice around the 20 minute mark.I still can hang with the local pros when I feel like it but I'm pretty much a professional practice rider now, however, the local OTHG president is trying to get me to come out for a race soon... And I might be taking my first gate drop here pretty soon!

Thanks for the info... I appreciate it

Get into Phoenix craigslist and search "motocity" and be prepared to scream; their prices are insane.....I think they had the '15 350 for 9k or less OTD. You also want to email munn racing; they ship bikes for like $100. Remember, you're out of state, so no tax for you.

That's what I'm looking for... We are raped on taxes enough as it is!

Do you ever get up to phoenix to ride? I grew up racing at Canyon and Speedworld.... I know Speedworld is gone and I nearly shat myself when I saw video of what canyon looks like now!

When I was growing up in Fountain Hills it was only Canyon and almost 2 hour drive down Bell the whole way out there in the late 80's!

I'm being transferred back down to vegas next spring so I will be coming down to ride in Phoenix and can't wait to hit canyon again, Hopefully we can meet up and hit some tracks when I do.

I reached out to Munn today and I'm trying to work on getting a deal on a 350 and having shipped!
