Looking for some input. I'm a little on the chubby side. (let's be honest really far on the chubby side) what riding gear have you fellow big dudes had luck with. My biggest problem is the legs being too snug.

Do they fit snug compared to jeans. I have all Thor gear now and they tend to fit about one size smaller

For bigger riders, fox 180, fly kinetic, tld gp, moose, thor phase, alias makes bigger pants also.

How durable is alias gear. I haven't really heard much about it. Nobody in my neck of the woods wears it

I wear the Thor Phase gear. When I have my butt patches sewn on I have the reinforce the butt stitching since I have had a pair blow out in the past. Other than that it is good gear. Oh, I am a 42 waist

I bought a set of each in the beginning of the year, a1 and a2. I think the cheaper stuff holds up better. But no problem with either.

But and this is a big but. It runs extremely small. If you're looking for something for fit I wouldn't go alias. I'm a size 32 jeans, I had to return the 34s for 36s. And they didn't have the size I wanted for the other gear so they ended up giving me 38s. Not as snug but it fits me decent. Keep in mind I'm a size 32 in jeans

Bubba raced here in Australian (South Australia) this year in the same type of get up!

He raced every race in overalls, with numbers on his back, actually the letter F

As for the OP's original post,

I have been running a size 36 pant for awhile now, in the past couple of months have ran Scott 450 and Scott 350, TLD GP Air, Shift Faction, Fox 360 and One Industries Gamma,

I have thick legs, from upper to calves, GP Air offers the most relaxed fit out of the lot, followed by the One Industries Gamma, Fox and Shift a much more fitted feel, but the stretch panels still make them flexible enough. The Scott gear is a more snug fit.

If you are on the bigger size and like a more relaxed fit I would be looking at One Industries or TLD GP Air.

Just after getting fly gear ,its a lot more comfy than anything I be had before. I don't know what's with gear these days , I can squeeze into a 36 jeans ,I have a bit of a gut. But have to get 40 size MX gear. Had a stars ,techstars ,this year. Its a terrible fit for bigger guys. Potty cause had them maybe 4yrs ago and they lasted two full seasons. I find the cheaper lines ,of the big brands always fit better for bigger guys

X2 on the extreme snug fit of ALIAS gear. I wouldn't say I'm a fatty but I need a little extra room in the beer belly area. I have a brand new set of 2013 A1 gear in 36 pants and 2XL jersey and I cannot wear it at all. I couldn't imagine trying to get the pants over my knee braces, and the quality is poor in my opinion.

My TLD GP and SHIFT faction fits really good, the shift is bigger in the thighs than the TLD. Both are excellent quality and have held up really well.

Fly Kinetic fits great if you're big, same with AXO.

I've had good luck with KLIM. It 's not moto specific, so it's not real flashy.

ive been fat forever, wore baggy gear for 15 years rite from the begining, SMP was the best followed by LBZ, but i started to blow the ankles outta the shift and fox stuff, in one ride around 08 when all the other stuff was gone, in 09 i had to go bak to tighties, hate that shit, but Fly def make the best tighties for fat guys, i got some Answer baggies this fall and it was awesome to be back in comfortable gear again i hope it holds up i hate tight gear, i see Fxr makes baggies also im making a comeback

Hey hey hey, don't use that word! Grown ass men like to use "chubby".

On topic, TLD is the way to go.

I had purchased some left over JT Racing gear at a steal (direct at JT's online store) and the gear fits great on my fat butt, is comfortable and for the money cannot be beat. So far so good on the wear but again I have only started riding again in the middle of October so a half-a-dozen rides is not enough to confirm how it will hold up long term.

Yea I'm on the skinnier side and ordered some astars techstar stuff 34 and XL. Stuff fits so small. I have to have loose gear and that's why I ordered it big and it's way to small. And it's cut very strange.
