Ezra lusk holy shizzle saw him in early 2000 at a R.I.P. practice track called the x track he was insanely fast blowing by everybody even the local fast guys had no chance at all. the craziest thing about it was how bad he rutted the track in two hours time footpeg scrapping the rest of the day every corner and jump so fast.

Lusk jumped into my practice session on an amateur day at Washougal.

I was one of, if not the last guy, to leave the line for the practice session and halfway through the second lap I started hearing this 125 just wound out screaming behind me and getting closer fast. I'm thinking to myself holy crap these guys must be hauling if they're coming around to lap me already, then there was a yellow flash and I saw the name on the back of his jersey. I got brave and thought, well here you go, see if you can keep up. That lasted about three corners before I came to my senses and backed it down and he was still yarding me like I was standing still.

The first pro who could run with the big boys that I saw was Ross Pederson. You just don't realize the difference in speed between a local pro and national pro until you see the guy that would win every moto at your local races by 45 seconds or more get beat even worse than he beat up the rest of the locals.

That was what I was going to say as well, when he was riding for Blackfoot Honda. That's my earliest memory of a pro riding a local track.

Remember Ross Pederson racing that Rm with a Cr 500 motor stuffed in it. He won on it.

K-dub has made lots of appearances at my local track over the last 9 or so years.

One time he came for a benefit race and rode a lap around the track. I don't think his front wheel ever touched the ground!

I grew up watching Lance Vincent ride my local tracks, he was out there a couple months ago.

I was an 85 beginner and my local track had just built the biggest whoops I'd ever seen.

I'm rolling the whoops, get squirrely and wad.

I look up and I see Andrew Short blitz them like he was riding on flat ground; mind = blown.

Ronnie Clark was most likely the first. Billy Swap, Brian Edwards, Isaiah Johnson or even Gio Tedesco could have been there at the same time.

Way way back in the day, it was late December and the Pro's were in town to get ready for the Anaheim Supercross and my dad got the idea that I should skip school and go to Saddleback and ride with some, that surely would be there. We get to the track and the only people there for the most part was Mosier, Croft and of course myself. So I did lap after lap and got to watch them go by as they lapped me. Lap after lap. it was awesome.

"Rocket" Rex Staten at Canyon Raceway in Peoria AZ, at the time I was a 125 beginner in say 1988? I had no Idea who this guy was or what his reputation was all I know is he knocked me over in a corner and yelled something as he went by in a blur.... I was like who the hell is this guy and was pissed. Now I know the history and his reputation.... and I am proud to have been that goon to be knocked over by a legend!

After that, destry abbot and of ocurse Jimmy Button and the Blose brothers!
