There was an Air Fork Conversion for my AT1 in 1968......if I recall correctly it was Terry Cable... could be wrong. Yes and I tried them.

I'll also have to dig back in to my boxes of MX history.....I seem to recall Fox experimented with air in the mid 70's...

All the forks in the early 80's were "Air Assisted" You had a air valve on the cap to add a couple of pounds to stiffen up the forks if needed. Most riders would bleed off the air between motos or even bleed of the pressure with the forks slightly collapsed to soften them up and make the bike turn better.

I'll never buy a bike with air forks.
Had them in 1976 on YZ125 and 250s.Sick

Yep. I had Fox air shocks in 79 I think it was, maybe 1980
