KTM isn't stupid. Many local riders have discovered the benefits of easy pull and consistent action using a hydraulic clutch.
I rode with one for years....never had a failure except for breaking off the perch in a crash one time.

Consistent action that just works. At least on these big tanks we ride now, slipping the clutch isn't done much...I never rode hydraulic on a two smoker.
The KTM's have pulled many holeshots this year.
It's not because of or in spite of, the hydro clutch.
I've ridden off-road and a some motocross for twelve years on a variety of KTM's and never had a failure, nor do any maintenance.
Had the "Magura Jack 2.0" on my CRF.
It was absolute HEAVEN.

Edit: They changed the slave cylinders to be much more compact, and they just use the stock mount.
