if the americans dont win this weekend. RV and RD are faster but so are paulin and pourcel. I dont think the difference in speed is too much. Home crowd will pump our boys up. Should be interesting. AC will come with a vengence to show the 2 ryans what type of speed he has. The Us boys are faster in SX but MX euros can hang. Its going to be a great weekend of racing.

the problem is, if speed is equal and it comes down to heart and determination, you guys unfortunately have christophe pourcel, and that does not bode well for you.

Pourcel is going to need more then 1 good moto and I didn't know the teams were only 2 riders.

Our 2 450 riders have raced since January with more pressure then any other racers, Cairoli will need a step ladder to kiss either Ryans arse.

Premixed, are you suggestion the French have no "fight" in them?! Oh hang on, that's right, they're lovers, not fighters. Still, don't discount the home-field advantage.

you do know paulin won a moto in the mxon in the mx1 class, and with ease. He loves the 450 and goes very fast on it. Dont under estimate paulin. He gets good starts also..

I think you are expecting a lot out of Pourcel, unless he improved heaps from when he was last here, I don't think the Ryans will be to concerned.
9/16/2011 6:04pm
I could be completely blind but I dont see Pourcels' name on any of the team rosters.

He was added earlier this week as a replacement.

All we can compare is if there were a straight up 1-1 race without the factors of a whole field:

I would be very surprised if they dont win this weekend, infact I would be very surprised if they didnt win again next year, and the next year and the next. etc.

i keep readding posts from americans all pumped about the 2 ryans.........no one can beat them, they will be on another level, etc.etc...........don't see the same support and confidence on baggett.....and it takes the 3 of them to win it....!!!!!
i guess he deserved a bit more cheers from his own team fans......this way he will have a huge weight on its shoulders on sunday....this atitude of us fans to only bragg on the 2 ryans could bild the weak point on the team.... i think the kid really needs his nation moral support, he's on the tougher spot of the 3....!!!!!!

Well, if anyone knows about style, it's the French.

That is so funny. All these years it has always been how fast the Euro tracks are compared to the US tracks. I don't think this track favors anyone especially the faster riders. Looks like straightaway 180 straightaway 180. Perfect example would be the MXDN that Townley ran with RC. This track looks very similar. Where is a better rider supposed to shine on a track like this?
9/16/2011 6:31pm
France has riders capable of winning every single class ANYWHERE and yet they have home field advantage. Anyone who doesn't see this a a toss up between USA and France is a delusional, flag-waving homer. Having said that, I'm sure the US will smoke 'em! Go team! Smile

I think France has a good chance of winning, only because it is supposed to rain

Like every year, the US team will be fast and consistent while all the other teams will be unable to put 5 good moto scores together.

If it's a mudder the odds on an Aussie win should shorten.
