That was my first bike.. My pops had it dressed up as a 75 husky though. He had the chrome piece on the tank just like the husky. Thing was so cool. Like most of us , i'd give anything to have my first bike back.

That was also my first bike, even the same color. So fun back in '73, would love to have it in my garage now.

My first also. I rode in a local parade in 1975 and I was 7.

They restored one on Pawn Stars and estimated the value at $3500. I still have my first bike - with 2 complete spare bikes for spare parts for restoration....1972 SL70

Yeah I saw that.. I think pawn stars likes to inflate the hell out of $$ Numbers. Better TV.. .That is one of my favorite shows though.

That is awesome that you still have your first bike. I wish i had mine. I'd have it in my living room right now . Complete w/the training wheels I had on it the first time I rode it.

That's cool. I don't know if any of you remember the episode of Chips where they show a peewee race. I doubled for the star kid in that episode for the race scene on my indian.

Wow I remember that episode well. Single mom that Jon was hitting on, troubled kid. Didn't the kid/you eat it at the end ?

Those Indians were the holy grail to a little kid back in that time. Kids like me on a 3.5 Briggs and centrifugal clutch dreamed of them things.

I only doubled for the kid in the race scene at indian dunes. Where the other kid kicks me over at the end. lol There was actually like 4-5 different doubles for that kid in that one short episode. One of the kids doubles was a 25 yr old dwarf..lol Seriously. It was fun at 5 yrs old getting to hang out w/ponch (who couldn't ride a bike at all) and John was cool. the story also played well with the chickies at the playground.

They used to rent out those Briggs & S mini bikes out at Indian Dunes. I loved them. Guys like Wardy made those Briggs look easy to ride MX on.

That was my first bike and I still have it. Mine is in alot better shape than that one though. Even though it has not been started in years. I think my dad still has some spares laying around for it also.

I still have my second and third ever bikes. One is an Indian 50, but not the small wheeled model. It is a 1970 Indian 50 "Boy Racer". 16 inch wheels, manual clutch, three speed gearbox, horizontal cylinder, external front fork springs.

Only made for two years,69-70. It is rough, but still runs. I NEVER see any of these models for sale anywhere. I feel it is more rare than the MM5 .

I know of two other Boy Racers in Michigan. One is a rider, the other is NOS,still in the factory crate.

That was my first bike too.

A friend of my dad's bought one for his boys too and actually kept it all these years. He recently gave it to my dad, which he'll eventually restore ('dad is a master at moto restoration with a garage full of Pentons and a few obscure bikes like a Monarch, etc)
