Price is high in my opinion but pretty cool nonetheless.... I know these bikes get kind of a bad rap but never ridden one myself.

That's so cool. I don't think price is too bad. An 18 year old brand new motorcycle. That's half way to being one badass never ridden collector's item.

I'd want to ride it. I forget what the MSRP was on those back then...maybe around $5800 ?

Those years of ktms were only bike I ever rode that were somehow unstable and wouldn't turn both at once.

Probably never rode it because he was scared of the thing. Who would bother keeping one of those for all this time and never once ride it?? It's not a terribly special bike and the second you ride the thing it's worth $1,500 tops.

I had a 98 250 SX , first year of the no link suspension, and that bike had the most vicious deceleration headshake I've ever experienced . Never rode any model year KTM earlier than that.

I would say it is a good price, I am in the process of semi restoring one at the moment.

Pretty good find. That motor is priceless. Would be fun in modern chassis.

How do you suppose the HP of that bike compares to ta new 250SX. I'll bet they're close. Or maybe against a 250SX with the 300cc kit.

Those bikes actually had really good suspension. Ohlins shock and Marzocchi fork. I don't know about the 360 though, I had a later 380 that was awesome.

WHY!?! would anyone buy a new scoot and never ride it? Then continue to "cycle the piston once a month" and still never ride it?

It is pretty neat to see a time capsule like this. Too bad it is not a 1970 something or another that was still new.

Don't know how they would compare but I had a new '01 380sx and it would outrun the 02-03 CRF450's and YZ450F's back then. I had at least a bike length at the start every time over the the thumpers back then. Unfortunately, the chassis left a lot to be desired.

BTW, all the 360 and 380 KTM's shared the same/similar 368cc engine. Best 2-stroke engine of all time, imo. Very wide forgiving power delivery without the arm ripping power of a 500.

By my rough calculations the bike would have about 10 to 15 hours on it just from 18 years of once a month start ups.

I'd rather taze my nutsuck and then have a ghost chili pepper inserted into nasal cavity to be then punched in the face by Rhonda Rousey

I think "piston cycled" means he turned the motor over with the kicker without starting it. So the motor has roughly 36 RPY (revolutions per year) on it. Laughing
