This was the top 5 in Seattle:

1 7 James Stewart
2 14 Kevin Windham
3 22 Chad Reed
4 2 Ryan Villopoto
5 1 Ryan Dungey

Weimer will be lucky to finish in the top 10.

I think Jake has a shot at top 5 with a good start, but it will take a bad start by one of the big four for him to beat them right now, their level of intensity is much higher ATM.

I think cracking the top five would be a miracle ride. I'm only saying that because he hasn't had the race experience this year and 20 laps holding off any of the top five might be asking a little too much right now. They'll all be at an intense pace.

Anyone on the Starting line could potentially "Mess it up"

That's why they run the race.

Most likely spoiler right now is KW as he proved it last week. I think Weimer will be a little of the pace of the top 5....but I hope I am wrong!

He's just getting back, and there's a good chance that his timing is going to be a little off, not to mention that he's going to be riding a little on the cautious side so he doesn't end up sitting on the sidelines for the outdoors.

Tedesco has potential to "spoil" the mix.

Only if somebody makes a mistake. He has been getting greats starts but just like Alessi, he moves backwards consistenly. I will throw Shorty in the mix although he hasn't been too hot lately.

I would say top 10. I am a big fan, but I think he needs to focus on getting dialed for outdoors instead of going balls out trying to prove himself in SX.

The only reason to have JW on the track is the same reason Ferry came back to SLC after being off all season.
Get between!

Ivan Tedesco will be a man of leisure for the next few months. He was already scheduled for an ACL surgery after the season, but he got hurt even worse at St. Louis when he got his foot caught. His knee was wrapped so tightly to prevent further injury that it twisted his hip, and now he'll need surgery there, to fix a torn labrum. Get well soon, Ivan. Credit: GuyB

Jake doesn't need to score in the top 5 to mess everything up.
Jake just needs a good start.
Jakes objective is to hold everyone up but RV for as long as possible.
So that RV can get away and not have to worry about anyone getting a piece of him.

So yes, Jake can mess it up.

He's been on the bike for a while now... It's not like he just came off the couch. I'm saying he will be inside the top ten in both mains.

He was cracking me up on Pulp, sounded like IT9 (olympic speed skater), he thinks he's going to win! I guess that's what you have to believe when you throw a leg over in a main.

I think Berlute? was right, 7-9 would be doing good.

Jake is a awesome guy and rider but he is not going to be a factor in the 450 class this week next week or 2 yrs from now. with Barcia and Wilson moving up soon and with the talent pool that already exist I personally don't see Jake doing better than 8th-10th in SX.

As far as outdoors go if Jake thought he was lost last yr then he really is in deep trouble this summer. 15th or better is going to be a tough get for Jake. I good be wrong. Only time will tell.
