Cool for Blake!

10/4/2012 12:21 PM

good for blake, will be wierd seeing that again

but am i the only one who thinks the numbering system is HEAVILY flawed when every one of the top 10 numbers were earned from 250 championships, and not one of them were earned in the premier class (except #1 of course)

Oh my.
Good on him!

10/4/2012 12:23 PM

I thought he would take #8. That sure is going to be weird seeing a 4 on a Kawasaki. It's been a long time!

Good for Blake. Of course you take the lowest number. It will look good on him.

Makes me think why Wilson would have picked #15 when he could have had a lower number.

Yeah it will.
Off the top of my head.....
RC ran #4 obviously on a Kawi.
Mike Kiedrowski
Ron Lechien
Jeff Ward (On a 125 also)
Cant think of anymore #4 Kawis off top of my head.
What other guys were there,if any?

Edit: looked these up.
John DeSoto
Jimmy Weinert

Didn't Emig also run #4?
(nevermind - that was at the 96 Des Nations)

Why does Barcia have such a high number? 51?

Cool that Wharton went with 13 and Roczen gets 94

Ramrod wrote: Why does Barcia have such a high number? 51?

That was his amateur number... Same reason why Hill has 75, Roczen 94...

10/4/2012 12:36 PM

Yusss!

Please appreciate that I call a spade a spade. I'm a straight talker with no connections and no agenda. I will happily apologize if I'm wrong and If I am right I will not gloat. I love the sport and that's all there is to it.

10/4/2012 12:40 PM

It's going to be interesting seeing that out on the track again next year!

I'm glad Roczen got #94 and Musquin got #25...

10/4/2012 1:06 PM

Definitely would have picked #8. BB8 just sounds right. Oh well, he will ride the same either way.

10/4/2012 1:19 PM

Good for Blake !!

Will be cool if he signs with Suzuki when he jumps to 450's.

.

10/4/2012 1:24 PM

The thing I was most interested in, how quickly we forget, is that all 5 championships were won by a different rider. With the 450 class being possibly more stracked next year I dont look for things to change any time soon. Good time to be a fan. Hopefully better racing next year indoors and out.

good point, they should get first pick at low two digit numbers for winning a 250 mx title, then if they win a championship on the big bikes they can get a single digit. Dungey, Villo, Baggett, Brown, and Tedesco all got those numbers from winning 250 titles wihthout really proving anything on a 450.

Single digits should be for guys with a title on a big bike and consistant top 5 racer several years in a row.

Didn't Bradshaw ride #4 at one point too?

Also, Do you see Blake Wharton has #13. Does that mean he's going to run it? Who was the last guy to run that number?

10/4/2012 2:05 PM

I guess I'm the only one not looking forward to that. Not too pumped to see the #4 struggle in supercros and be on a bike with the caliber of anyone short of RV, RD, etc...

I believe Heath Voss ran it for a while. Before that, Sebastain Tortelli ran it before going back to his familiar 103.

Maybe he should die his hair red too?

You know when your talking to a fast rider when they spell like a 3rd grader.

10/4/2012 2:11 PM

Barcia wore #51 as an amateur at least at one point.

It's more than heavily flawed, it's totally fefffed up.

LOL

Yep but on a yellow bike.

10/4/2012 2:25 PM

When Barcai turned pro, his number was 151, so it must mean something to him. Not pumped to see Baggett with #4. I don't think he will live up to it.

The guys who pay for the series and the guys who the team manager answers to are the SAME guys...
Whats so hard to understand about that???

(Oh yeah, the above comments may be biased towards my own philosophophy)

#4 on a Kawi you tards. Was Bradshaw ever on a Kawi? I think it's cool. I wonder if he had to "ask RC for permission" like people thought he should

10/4/2012 2:49 PM

I bet RC "ain't got no" problem with that. He prolly "seen" this one coming. And yes I am mocking RC's terrible announcing skills (just because you can put him in the booth doesn't mean you should)
