And with the advice, ask you local shop where races are being held at or the local track where you practice.

Find the best school you can afford in your area.

Then find a quality practice track near you that also comes with lots of riding company.

Finally, keep your eyes and ears open and your mouth shut, unless it's to ask a valid question.

Buy some Gary Semics DVD's and practice, practice, practice. Do good maintenance on your bike, you will be surprised the things that will fail when you race.

The trick to the start is 1st gear, the bike bouncing off the rev limiter, you leaning all the way back for traction and just drop the clutch a millisecond before the gate drops!!

If you do this you should get the holeshot everytime.


Btw, if you don't do it perfect don't worry just brake 3 seconds after everyone else in the first turn to make up for it!!!! You will blow by all those early brakers!!

you forgot to tell him to spin the tires for at least 2 minutes before the card goes up

... don't forget to loosen the bolts that hold your rear fender on, a flopping fender knocks the dirt off.

Schools don't teach you everything, lucky you got us.
