Just an update to other Zero owner's. Not bashing, just posting. Hope the 2 broken vertebra and collapsed lung heal quickly. This was in Switzerland.

I talkedt to someone who rode one at a so cal track and he compared it to the power delivery of an xr 200. I cant imagine trying to huck a 90 ft triple on an xr 200. The battery pack is a pretty heavy load apparently...

I doubt the rider had much of a helmet riding an electric bike...lucky no head injuries.

I think everyone knew those bikes weren't meant for a regular sized motocross track (or obstacles) from the get-go. I'm hoping someone I know will get one of the KTM electric bikes once they start coming to the U.S. They look killer.

what do you mean mate, they wear normal full MX gear, lids and boots and all, like all MX riders.

Give it time and they will get better.

If some of you are still riding in ten years, you will be signing the praise of the four stroke and bitching because someone on an electric scooter will be kicking your assesWink

There was a guy riding a Zero last year at a Glen Helen SRA, he made it through the first turn, but not up the first hill.

At least someone had the balls to buy one, and ride it on a track. Personally I chicken out here and just wait until these become bulletproof and let others do the hard testing...

Still the future these electric ones...

That was my first thought too Corey. If you do end up finding one let me know!

Quantya uses Fox suspension.

Last year at Hangtown Zero had a display and I remember looking at their rectangular tubing running into angle iron and thinking that I'd expect a lot more if I was paying 7 or 8 grand for a bike.

I'd love to ride one Kev, but I don't know if I could justify buying a bike that is twice that of a comparable big bike (although if you factored the savings in gas, oil, time spent cleaning air filters, etc. you might come out even after a couple years). Right now I have my eye on getting a YZ250 and a couple 2010 klx 100 L's... they look awesome! How's your knee btw?

Why should this surprise anyone, it looks like its one step bigger than a Travis Pastrana bicycle look alike. It a novelty toy, no way should anyone be putting in serious laps on that thing. Heck it has fake radiator shrouds and a fake front light. Get real the guys who broke that puppy should have known better.
