Last I heard the speculation was a rock in the chain but that's a pretty quick fix. He dnf'd so was it something more serious?

From what i seen in the mechanics area was the chain had bound up with sand in it when he fell. But not sure what ended up being the main issue of the dnf

I thought I heard that his E start failed. Might be wrong??
I believe they have a kickstart as a backup though?

They still should have been able to bump start it if that was the problem. That rear wheel was locked. He said in his interview after moto 2 that "it was his fault", but never mentioned exactly what the problem was.

Ever been to Millville? There are no rocks in Millvilles track. Been there dozens of times, never have I saw a one. Bike blew up plain and simple.

Nope, no kickstarters on the Husky or KTM bikes. Joe's right, though, they would have still been able to bump start it.

Something had the rear wheel locked up, but I don't think it was a blown motor, because it rolled a couple of feet backwards, then they pushed it forwards about the same distance before it locked again. GL said something about a rock getting stuck in the counter sprocket, but I would think if the wheel rolled at all, it would dislodge.

I assumed it was something wrong with a rekluse clutch type setup if the wheel rolled backwards but not forward?

Yeah I was scratching my head on that one too. Did he crash so bad that the rear wheel somehow locked up? Banana in the tail pipe? Still can't figure out how he was the one to make the rear wheel to lock up....Huh

Matthes said on his Millville recap pod that he crashed and when he picked it up there was a rock jamming his wheel. He wasn't sure whether it was a result of the crash or the cause of the crash. But his electric start failed and he couldn't bump it because the wheel was jammed

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Millville where Dungey got a rock in the chain in like 2013?

Chain slider tore in 2 and wound up around the counter sprocket.

Blown motors are soooo taboo in motocross. Maybe it was aliens.

I'm hearing the Handlebar pad was loose. Mechanics didn't catch it until back in the pits.
Extra Velcro was used for the 2nd moto.

I read on the interweb somewhere that his piston return spring deflected which caused the muffler bearing to fail. Hence, the plumbing problems and a locked up rear wheel.
Bummer deal IMO....

I guess you haven't because there are lots of rocks, maybe you just cant see them on your TV so that really doesn't count as " Been there dozens of times " Pinch
