So,do they get a works exemption?
Good luck to him this coming season.

Pit Row
Best of luck to Zach (and the entire Husky team). I hope they can all get on the box consistently and stay off the ground.
I think thats the point many are trying to make... Fish from a talent pool that has untapped upside and give them a shot with an opportunity.
Not only will the bike actually be racing at all the rounds but the rider will get a chance to prove themselves for a year on solid equipment to see what they can really do. Makes more sense to me.
And bobbym back again with another smart ass comment. Not jealous of zach or the fact he hits the ground all the time lol just stating the facts as to what things could change in the sport. Hard work and improving results should be rewarded otherwise we get kids quiting pro racing to become construction workers and i think that is wasting talent.
1. Pay - all things being equal does a rider come in say 1. I will ride for little to no salary and just collect AMA payout. 2. I have sponsor/parents that will pay for me to be on team. 3. Low salary High bonuses
2. Health - Do teams look at the health of available riders and go with the lowest risk?
3. Marketability - Looks, Personality, Charm can a team or sponsors sell product with this person?
4. Coachable - How is it to work with this rider? Does he like to test? Can he handle criticism?
5. Skill - Does this riders riding style work with the bike?
I believe of all these factors, PAY plays a BIG factor. If we knew what a rider was getting paid or was paying to ride it would eliminate a lot of speculation and rumors.
