Yz250f vs Crf250

I currently have a 12 Honda 450 and am going to drop back down to a 250f. I am torn between the two bikes. The motor on the yamaha has me excited and the honda would feel at home already. Not to mention a few goodies( oversized rotor, hydraulic clutch). Not a lot or big deal but it adds up i suppose Does anyone have either bikes or have ridden either one? Thoughts etc on this. I race +25A.

I ride a 450 and 250 2-stroke and have ridden the new yz250f and it rips. It sounds a bit different, more raspy than normal but damn does it haul ass for a 250f. Bike felt light and had a good layout. Maybe not quite as planted in the front as some of the others but not nearly as noticeable as on the 450.

Yamaha has a winner with their 14 250F. Bout time. I'm not the only one that thinks so. It has won 4 out of 6 2014 250F shootouts for whatever that's worth to you. Maybe nothing. Got 2nd place in the two it didn't win. Go Blue!
