I ordered a set of the Renthals because they seem pretty basic and get the job done. I'm not doing single track or desert racing, but am tired of getting peppered by the 450s in the vet class. Anyone else have an opinions on ones they like?

Cycra stealth alloys for me. I've run hand guards since I've been shitting in diapers...the aluminum mounting brackets are by far the most durable I've tried.

I always liked the Acerbis handguards, they fit good, look a little flashy, and stop the peppering at the track... Mine have held up really well too even with a couple crashes had them maybe 2yrs.

I agree, Cycra all the way, easy to install and very durable

I ride off-road too, so I go for the full wraparounds. They are kinda nice if I am bumping bars with someone off the starts in MX too, as my levers don't get grabbed. I am running the acerbis endurance guards right now.

I like the non vented version. My only bitch is that they always break at the mount even without crashing. The piece is just too flimsy where it slides into the mount.

Weird, I was worried about the same issue but mine have held up so far. I've gotten a fair amount of mud stuck on em and also wrecked in corners onto them and they haven't snapped off yet.

enduro engineering makes a moto hand guard that is spring loaded so when you do tip over, it won't snap off and become useless like other brands of moto style hand guards.

I've had the aceribis ones above and the cycras I have on my Katoom now are great simply for the fact that they just bolt into the lever assembly instead of another mount...

These are the ones I have. I tip over or crash about once per moto day and these have held up great. Don't hesitate to spend the $ on them. Just don't cinch them down so they can't move.

I do have the optional aluminum mounts. That makes them a lot stiffer but it may also lead to the failures that I am seeing. They do always break at that junction.
