I heard He roosted Roczen after the race and then went and roosted a downed rider and the Medical crew.

I'm a fan of his riding but that shit is uncalled for.

Saw the whole thing from row 305. He was pissed that Vincent didn't quickly get out of his way. Vincent was battling another rider for position. After Barcia passed him after the whoops, he crowded Vincent over the triple and then moved over on the next little double. I missed the Roczen roost, but roosting Vincent while he was being looked at was a douche move.

I like Barcia but damn the guy was down and you go chew his ass and roost dirt on him. Drama night in Houston!

Roczen posted on twitter that he did indeed get roosted by Barcia. What a sore loser...

I really hope they do. Make a statement. It seems that several factory riders at the moment think they can go and do what they like with no repercussions. Every other professional sport puts massive emphasis on protecting its image to the fans and the general public, and has strategies in place to ensure that this happens. It seems to me that because of the disparity between promoters and governing bodies within our sport, the promoters of the professional supercross series do not need to protect the image of motocross in general, and therefore let a lot of this kind of stuff slide. Dissapointing in my opinion.

Early word is that Barcia has been fined by the AMA for his post race "activities"

A fine is not good enough.

A fine of $500 I bet. That's better than giving a red bull rider a shot at the title.

I think it might be time for BamBamBowers to park BamBamBarcia. That's the only thing that will teach the kid he needs to have some respect for other riders, and I like Barcia. But that shit isn't acceptable and a fine is weakass.

Barcia had the race won by a mile, and he blew it about 1/2 a lap from the end. I'm not surprised he was mad. And as far as roosting Roczen, I doubt Roczen gave a crap. If he went over and jawed at Vincent (which I didn't see) or roosted him is pretty stupid, particularly because, as I saw it, Barcia jumped right across Vincent's front end. But a DQ? That's silly. Fine him $10K or something that he'll remember and leave it at that.

If he did roost a downed rider, at the MINIMUM, he should be dock points, no question about it.

A fine won't do shit, they should doc him some points or suspend him a race.

I was thinking more like $25K would be a little more memorable.

The Geico Team should make a statement that the action was unacceptable to them, now that the AMA is on record with a fine

It shows his passion for the championship. But remember, he's still a kid.

Remember the CR-150F commercial he did last year, or so, when his voice was still a juvie.

Since we "see" all the sensationalist post about riders from forum members, and by your slightly sarcastic tone to 500guy, what do you think should happen to Barcia GuyB?

You're somewhat the voice of reason and actually grounded in the sport more then most here, I'm just interested to know what you think about his actions and what the repercussions should be?

I'm a Barcia fan, but if all this is true I agree that a small fine is hardly punishment enough. These riders are supposed to be professionals.
