You know how some countries are doing pre-selections for MXoN teams?

Say we pre-select, oh, maybe five riders for this year's Team USA MXoN squad? Who do you think would/should be on the list?

Obviously Dungey should be on there. And Canard. Who else?

Everybody ! Because every single American rider can beat us peasants on the other side of the Atlantic.

Dungey
Short
Grant
(Stewart en RV2 if race ready)

Canard
Weimer
Barcia

5 isn't much for 3 spots. then you have 1 backup for 1 250 rider and 1 backup for 2 450 riders.

I think Short deserves that MX3 spot. He has really impressed me this year.

Other possibles:

Osborne

Weimer

T. Hahn

I'll believe Stewart is racing a few Nationals when I see it. He wasn't terribly impressive in his last MXdN showing so, in my book, he's not a cinch pick. Others deserve to go over him.

Isn't the MX3 class going to be restricted to Under 23's this year, like the FIM rules?

You really didn't understand the assignment did you?

Presuming we send Dungey, Short and Canard how about Stewie and RV if they are healthy and ready and Regal and Tedesco if they are not for MX1/MX3 and Barcia, Wharton or Weimer for MX2.

(I'd LOVE to put RV on this list, but I'm working under the assumption that he won't be ready, or willing, to go by September)

MX1 Dungey

MX2 Canard

MX3 Stewart

Alternates: MX1: Short MX2: Weimer (Been there)

Grant Wharton

T. Hahn Barcia

Regal W. Hahn

Dungey gets the MX1 because he won both titles and was there last year.

No other MX2 US rider is close to Canard speed right now.

Stewart goes because I've never ever heard anyone say Short is faster then him. The point is winning right? Although consistent Short has some sort of mental block on winning.

According to my sauces, the Guatemalan team is selected using a rock-paper-scissors

tourney (3 moto).

With the Finnish they run a race and the first three guys to the American line get the

checkered flag.

Im not sure about the people saying Weimer, sure he went last year, but he didnt do that great then, and this year has been a less than stellar mx season for him
