It could be worse. The could have cut it all out.Yamaha is hurting as well as the others.Heck...Kawasaki still hasn't produced there contigency program for 2010.

Thats what I was thinking! Be happy there is some incentive at all. They could have just left us with an expensive bike and said "have a nice day".

I'm surprised anyone's offering ANY contingency based on the rumors I'd been hearing. Racers good enough to earn it should be grateful and not look a gift horse in the mouth... or it may just puke all over you.

Seeing how most people that buy an MX bike either don't race, or don't finish high enough to earn contingency, this will probably have little impact with most people.

I know myself, and most of my buddies that I race with are going to keep on racing and buying a new bike every 2nd or 3rd year irregardless of any contingency program.

I say cut it all together and drop the MSRP on the bikes instead, that would help more people than contingency payouts will.

I have never understood how contingency money can be paid to AMATEUR racers.Even tho I have recieved a few bucks here and there over the years ,I think it should go away.Contingecy money creates cheating!!
