Call some one like Maier directly. There's plastic for bikes that is available but the big distributors don't carry it. Not enough volume for their profit margin.

Does anyone know where I can get new parts for a yz60? I'm trying to fix up my old 1981 yz60 but I can't find new plastics anywhere. I've tried ebay and alot of other sites on the web. Just wondering if anyone can help me out?
Probably the favorite bike I ever raced was my 1981 yz 60. They were so far ahead of the competition at the time. My avatar pic is of me in 81 on my 81 yz 60 and I think there's a couple more pics in my profile as well on it.I know some of the pics are 80 and some are 81. can't remember exactly what I uploaded on here.

Awhile back a guy that posts on here saw my avatar and said he had one he restored for sale. I don't remember his screen name but if he sees this thread I'm sure he'll post in it and maybe he'll have an answer for you.

I would love if after you get done restoring it you would send me some pics. My email is dandunes818@yahoo.com

I restored one back in 2000 and had a hell of a time finding any plastic for it then. Good luck.

My son is about to learn how to ride one this summer! I restored an 82 and also have an 81. Finding plastic is tough though.

Try calling Generation Cycle in Perris, CA. We have over 49,000 listings on ebay for older vintage bike and just about everything else. The phone number is (951)443-2749. We may have what you are looking for. I am an employee there.

That's the 82.. I always thought they went backwards in 82. The 81 was a better bike as far as power.
Maybe it was just because my 81 was so modified and bored out w/the rear works shock that by the time I road a stock 82 my 81 felt so much better.
Also the KX60 came out in 82 and it was light years ahead of the yz.

Rmpilot, that photo was taken last year at CMJ raceway. I might have to bring it out from the back of the garage this week and bring it again to CMJ raceway Sunday.
