I have talked to my dealer every week since it launched he is a buddy. And no I dont have to ask how much just want them to release it so I can buy the bike already. Kinda hard for the dealer to sell or even order it when they have not been fully released or stickered yet

I put deposit on one while go , but I got really tired of the waiting and purchase used 2016 KTM 450 factory edition with 19hrs last week and I am happy! I figured that the 17 Honda will cost me about 12K when I am done with it,the KTM I have 9000K in after all and I am done.Maybe I get the Honda next year when hype goes down.

You do know that Honda of Japan went through some bad times right? Give them a break here. And what's the use of knowing the price of the bike if it hasn't been even officially released yet? I'm sure they'll get the price out right before the bikes hit the floor. Jesus.....first world problems.

It's 9690 € (around 10880 USD) here in Finland and the electric start is included. The production line is up and running and I heard my bike is build this week. BTW the bike that was at Assen was second 2017 CRF2017 ever made Wink

Interesting, I would figure the RX being the cheaper of the two.

well, I've contacted a couple of think tanks in Washington, made some calls to MIT and other various institutions of intellectual endeavor, talked to some industry insiders, and consulted with a mathematician and a financial analyst...

they're all saying about the same thing. The bike will cost about the same as the other bikes in its class. LIKE EVERY OTHER YEAR!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the info guys. I just want Honda to tag it so I can buy it. I already figured it would be priced with the others.

I'm glad they're not electric start here in the states..that adds what...bout six lbs.. Shoot I'll put a single on mine to loose four pounds..then take off the rear disc guard..countershaft sprocket guard..and possibly the front disc guard with the bolts holding them items on and that will loose another lb...Should be just a couple lbs over the KTM..
And if I ever want ES..I'll purchase it..but not on my race bike...

I would agree, if I got one I would not need EC...the RX price difference is because of the EC (for other posters above), so no way was it going to be cheaper.

As for other weight savings, yes you could do that, I suspect it feels a lot lighter than it is (even though it is not heavy by any means).

Weigh a starter, lithium ion battery, starter switch, and solenoid. Then weigh it against a kicker and the internal kickstart mechanism...I think you will find your number is greatly inflated.

Dummies like you should be made to hand crank your vehicle. This ain't the Stone Age....E-start is a better option, not hard to see that.

Think Dungey and Kenny during the Vegas mudder...
