He had started with him? They were running identical times. This race reminded me of when Reed passed rv2,js7,dungey on (can't remember) but it was a hard slick technical track as well. I think he stays with tomac had he started with him. AWESOME RIDE

Possibly. But I think reed has the eye of a tiger and would have stayed right with him. Hopefully much more of this to come!

If Reed has a podium in reach he seems to race harder. If there's a potential win I think he goes all out and either wins or crashes trying to do so. He would regret it too much if he had a shot at another win and didn't go for it.

Those opportunities just don't come along for him very often these days.

its been said over and over (even by the GOAT) that if chad is feeling it and can latch on, he is very very dangerous and he can never be counted out. he beat Dungey straight up tonight. if he was near tomac he would have pushed until his heart exploded to win it.

yeah, he could have stayed with #3

Tomac dropped a 59. I'm not sure anyone had anything for him.

Tomac had no pressure on him though. I think he can be beaten mentally quiet easily. So glad he finally showed us he can do that all race though. The way he faded lately was disappointing.

Hes our best chance at pushing Dungey for a title.

Would your aunt be your uncle, if she had balls? Why does Vital thrive on the ifs and buts?

He was way faster than everyone else so he didn't have to worry about pressure

Tomac had 5 laps faster than Reed's best(1:00.230)
And after cruising a few laps, Eli dropped down to 1:00.599 on lap 20. He seemed to have a good reserve.
I'm a CR fan but it looked like 3's night.

I think so. With a holeshot he could have won tonight. That's why he was pissed!

Good point! I think a serious answer to your question would be that Reed always manages to step it up and go fast. Been raising his level for the last 14 seasons to occasionally match and exceed those expected to be faster. Ask RC, JS, KW, RV and RD. He's done it to all of those guys. Has to frustrate them.

No. I just got back from the race. ET was GONE, no one was catching him, no one could hang with him, no one could have caught him, he was on Another level, he was on a rail and he backed it way down after stretching out a 20 second lead. I like reed and ET, but no way was anyone going to hang with ET tonight, period.
