It's been 15 yrs and I still can't believe how pathetic and stupid those 250f's sound.

I was almost embarrassed watching that.

Complaining about the sound of a dirtbike instead of being overly happy and appreciative that the first race of the season starts tonight... wow.

I like how a factory 250f sounds in person, not so much on camera. You old heads need to stop crying, two strokes aren't coming back to the pro's.

A single cylinder 4 stroke engine turning that kind if rpm making 50-55hp is evolution of the sport. That's the sweet sound of progress. Show me a 55hp 125. I love two strokes but get over it. They're not coming back

http://bp3.blogger.com/_Mvhjidbvdzc/RnNKLTQd3II/AAAAAAAAA-I/vapDDnI-2qM… Oh man. I still stink at the internets. Google KTM 125 road racer horsepower. There you will find that elusive 55hp at 13K rpm 125 two stroke.

A single cylinder 250cc two stroke won't even break a sweat at 55hp while spinning 5000rpm less. Seems like the evolutionary scale is going backwards.

Indeed. You are watching a video of bowers on a 250f. The class in which the four stroke replaced the 125. I have a 250 two stroke. I'm aware of they power they make

Crazy that people think comparing an engine to one half it's displacement is somehow equal.

24, actually, and I ride a smoker. I like the sound of both. Something about a 250f pinned around a track sounds pretty badass to me. Same goes for 125 or 250. Now a 450 on the other hand, doesn't do it for me.
