So i decided to start my winter project a little bit early. I live in NY and the weather is supposed to get gross here soon. I've got some cool plans for my bike this winter not so much performance since i ride the bike to less then half its potential anyways, But moistly visual stuff.
Me and a buddy (Ryanbaglia is his username) who's bike lives at my house took one last trip this past weekend and rode three days straight. When we got home we washed up the bikes and started clearing out our "shop". I have a heated three bay garage but unfortunately during winter two of the bays are dedicated to cars, and one is dedicated to the Pontiac fiero build thats going to be started here soon. There is an upstairs to the garage that i finished half of two years ago to run my screen printing shop out of and since have moved out and into a downtown store front.
After that the finished half of the upstairs became storage... After a few impulse buys of fieros and fiero parts the entire upstairs had a few disassembled fieros.... Anyone need any fiero parts? lol...
The picture above is when we started. It doesn't look like a lot, but there were literally three fieros up there...
So we started moving everything into the other room thats unfinished. It was a tight fit but it all crammed in some how..
The next picture is what We have at the end of the day. The bikes aren't the cleanest because were stripping them the whole way down to get everything spotless. Didn't wanna get to much done in the first day.
We've still gotta move the tv in and get the cable run which should t take long. We built the two stands yesterday and still need to paint them and make a tweak to the first stand.
Still gotta get a few more things up there so the walls aren't so plain. Were working on some shelving for our helmets and such and that should be ready to go in the next day or two.
I plan to update this thread whenever we work on anything. Im gonna get a before picture of my bike, the 2013 RMZ250 and Ryanbaglias bike, the 2014 RMZ 250. And then when this is all done we can compare the after picture and see the difference. This thread is mostly so the two of us can keep track of what we've done and see the progress and i know i enjoy reading these types of posts.
See ya later!
EDIT: I can't get my images to link properly for some reason. Working on it as we speak.

Lets see them....
Also, The bikes are in the last picture. The start of this thread is just us getting setup and ready to start.
The Shop
I'm not sure what I want out of it yet, but there's a chance she'll be running this coming weekend. Just 18k miles on her and Compression checks out at 150lbs dead on with both cylinders.
Once I get her through a check out run I'll decide what direction I take the build. It's all there and I could put her back as a Special with some love, but those specials were the ugliest of the XS line IMHO. I'll most likely keep it simple, put some normal bars, a flat seat and clean up the crap on it for a simpler cafe look. That 16" rear won't help the scrambler or a street tracker look, but those are most likely what the end result will be. But that would probably come in another season.
Have their space.. Haha.
Also, talk about sletchy. Go to Walmart and check out with the following.
Tupperware containers
Scotch bright pads
Aluminum cleaner
Piece of aluminum
Alligator clips
Rubber gloves
And three gallons of distiled water....
It was in one piece last week.
Are those "kit" projects? Please share if you have more info
