Dean posted this today on Instagram:

"I have always been an adventurer I like to go different places be spontaneous see new cultures and meet new people. Take a chance you never know where it could lead you"

he posted this cryptic message underneath a photo of him in London. As soon as I read it I thought, is he coming to the GP's? He has been at a few GP's this season and as a big Dean Wilson fan I think it would be great to see him in Europe. what are your thoughts?

Yes, and I hear it will be on a Two Two Motorsports YZ250.

Cryptic?

He has been doing a bunch of travelling and has another year left on his KTM contract.

Ya, how is that cryptic? Pretty straight forward that he likes to travel.

Try not to read too deeply into social media. Dean's been enjoying his time off by bouncing around the globe. But he has commented in some very recent interviews that he's getting ready for Supercross next year as he has a contract with Red Bull KTM through 2016. He also has gear deals in place, etc.

...it means he will be on the gate on a KTM...unless he is injured...

While I doubt it, all it takes is an agreement to ' transfer '.

Look to Dean Ferris going back to Europe, straight onto a Husky, last year from a US KTM ride. KTM / Husky - same bloody thing, and you can bet your arse that Any Husky / KTM team would take Wilson at the behest of their lords and masters.

As I said, I doubt it will happen next year, but I'd not be surprised if The Haggis went to the GPs at some time. Depends on his SX 'interest', I reckon - it is the main / dominant thing in the US.

Thank-you for the dose of common sense.

That said, I think Dean has kept the door open and or would be open to racing the GP series in the future. Keeping his options open.

Dean trying to secure his future in GPs is a good idea. KTM will drop him like a hot rock in 16.

Isn't he big buddies with Thorpe?

I guess he was the best of what was available at the time.

Contracts don't mean nothing, Max Nagl got released from his Honda contract in 2012, Millsaps got released from his Rockstar KTM contract and JS7 left his JGR contract. So there rubbish.
I'm not saying it's going to happen and as 'Bearuno' said surely him transferring to KTM or Husky in the GP's won't be a problem.

I think Wilson would have a better chance of doing top-5 in the GP's than doing the same here in the outdoor series, given the present competition. Of course, that's just me...

DeCoster is probably smarter than I am.

He has expressed interest in the GP's before and he is best bodies with Tommy Searl and has grown up in Scotland and is on a KTM ( easy switchable) and is in need of a change. Much more plausible that the whole RV saga and that deal went through.

No it says it said it's his home town, Here's a copy & paste of what was under the pic...

The injured Dean Wilson was back in his old hometown to visit and cheer on some of his friends at a track he's spun a million laps on.

He's been over in Europe getting himself tuned up. He had carpal tunnel surgery (reasons for arm pump in the past).

Dean is healed up and, finally, getting back on the bike...slowly...easily...

He was in Calgary and he seemed stoked to see everyone and be back at the races.

It's nice to see the kid smiling again.

Maybe just bored and posting an 'old' pic, as for the 'Lord and masters' they are NOT in USA but Austria, not sure what you mean tho

With Marvin moving up to 450 unless Wilson absutely kills it or Marvin blows it or gets hurt. I'd say Wilson is out for sure. I'd feel so awkward if I were him next year.

Next year is definitely make it or break it for him, but I think he has a good shot of keeping his ride. It looks like KTM will be running three 450 riders from now on as they transfer all their 250 duties to TLD and Orange Brigade.

OK, so Deano's adventurous, but for him it looks like using a comma could be the final frontier.
