We seen Webb doesn't make it happen with big Yamaha. How long they can wait?

Clearly 2 races in the 450 class is enough evidence to see he will never make it!

Seriously, how is this even a question, give the kid a freaking chance.

Well, dude was lapped, I remember Dungey fighting with Stewart for the win in his first 450 race.

Wilson is doing fine as he is. He's been on a good bike all of his career I think it will do him good to ride his own bike and prove himself to the teams. He's riding very well these first 2 rounds

Im sure yamaha will be waiting at the very minimum 2 years. How is this even a question? I highly doubt coop or yamaha can just up and leave the contract. If hes struggling like this next year, then ya maybe it's time to look at another team. Some of you guys are funny haha

When Anderson was struggling as a pro in his first season, they downgraded him back to the amateur mx. Maybe Webb should go back to 250. I can't watch him race. The cringe is too strong.

Dean got a terrible start and still finished very well. I dont think he should get Wilsons ride but at this point Yamaha should let Dean pit out of their semi.

Only problem I see is that the Yamaha team is sponsored by Monster and dean is a Redbull guy.

Yeah Webb only won 2 sx titles ann out door national title for Yamaha . They should fire him over two races. Get real!! I like Wilson, but he hasn't done anything for Yamaha deserve Webb's ride. Webb is in a good place. He will be fine.

What makes you think Dean is a Red Bull athlete?

The Vitard power is strong in this one.

I thought I remembered him having a red bull helmet on at one point or did that end with his KTM ride?

Really??? As much of as a DW supporter that I am no chance, did anyone really think CW was going to be able to ride the same as in 250's? The 'bullish' riding still just won't work

The last guy to run the #2 didn't have the best showing in his first few races and we all saw what happened later on. Give him some time.

I would argue that Webb is in a good place. He's been way off the pace in the first too. I don't think anyone thought realistically that he was going to come in and challenge for podiums straight away. But he's not even top 10 pace at the moment

I'm with RG1 on this. I don't think any sane and objective people thought that he would compete for wins and podiums from the get go but he doesn't have top 10 speed and looks absolutely horrible on the bike. That is the concern.

I thought he would fight with "the best of the rest" guys like Millsaps, Peick & co. But he is far from that.

Some guys need to get onto a 450 to make it happen, other guys get on a 450 and cant, because the reason they are good on a 250 is because they have aggression, and are quite small to have a weight advantage.

Personally , i dont see Webb, either of the Martins, or Osborne ever taking their 250 form to 450's , for that reason, and Barcia , he just cant ride a 450 IMO.

If you think that we have Barcia and Canard out injured, Mookie and Stew out, Weimer with no ride (i know he is subbing for Barcia) and Nicoletti dropping down , its only the fact that those guys arent there that is letting him look as good as he is , plus Pourcel having a mare. Jesus , even Bloss might have him covered. And Short retiring .

If he is riding hurt, come out and say, let him rest a few weeks and recover.

i agree with Matthes, the 250 class as it is wrong, being hailed as the next big thing, when you beat half the guys in half the races is dumb,

Something is going on for sure. Webb knows how to ride the 450. He looked pretty bad tonight. Maybe he was injured? I dunno. Definately not the Webb we know.
1/15/2017 6:20am
If the YZF 450 was 20 lbs lighter and detuned would that allow Webb to be more aggressive to the point that he's in the top 5?

He would be better off on a 250F in the 450 class so far. Perhaps he is hurt and they are hiding it well.

Hewitt never downgraded anderson back to amateur racing. They benched him for about a month and hired a trainer for him to get into shape. He can back and started putting in some top 10 finshes towards the end of mx in 2011. Suzuki wanted hewitt to drop anderson at the end of 2011 but he saw something in him and kept him. Look where hewitts loyaly got anderson, hes stayed with the team his whole career so far.

Deano was a red bull athlete because ktm was sponsored by red bull. He doesnt have any energy drink sponser on his helmet or bike as of right now.

I thought they down graded him because he was immature, not because he wasn't doing well.

No, they sent him home to get in shape. It is the same reason some people thought that he wouldn't last with Baker, but they were wrong.

I dont think he is 100% physically and I dont think the bike is setup well...I think 5-6 rounds in we might see him having better results...imho

Reed said in an interview, that if after 5-6 rounds his results aren't what he expects, he would be done this year. Dean said he will go to 5 races and see what happens. By pure speculation 2 rounds in, I'd sooner think Dean would get Reed's ride.

what confuses me is that i remember webb doing really well on the 450 in the past... is it just because that was outdoors and this is sx?

100%^ agreement

Webb will sort it eventually but it's going to take all year or most of it at least and anybody thinking different over rates him, he is HELLISH good but better outdoors than in IMO.

You have an IQ of like 1. Seriously????? What the hell has Wilson proved? He's raced like 10 races in the past 3 years on a 450. Geez you're an idiot
