Wilson MXdN: Scotland / GB?

9/18/2014 9:35am Edited Date/Time 9/18/2014 9:39am
If the Scots do vote yes, then there's an 18 month lull before they properly separate (independence day), so I guess there could conceivably be one more, the very very last, GB MXDN team with Scotland as a contributor. So Dean will get a chance to potentially be on the 2015 selection. After independence day, Team GB should go on with just England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Edit: Sry, I forgot about above link and didn't refresh before posting.

if the scots do split, Simpson ,Wilson and Brian McEnzie would be a cool team , leaving Anstie, Searle and Nicolls for the GB team.

I don't think the polls will change all that much overnight.

It wouldn't be Team GB it would be Team England if they break away. I don't care for the Scots anyway, good riddance if you ask me.

Seriously?? You best hope it's a no vote as if not the rest of the UK are in for a shock due to changes that would happen and the majority of them will not be good! If you doubt it you are seriously deluded and ignorant

I thought once you rode the desNations for a country you couldn't ride for another after that. Could be wrong, just thought I read that somewhere.

He will be better off. Scotland needs to break away from the UK...

I haven't really read up on it at all. Why is Scotland wanting to break away? And is it a situation where they can be forced to stay?

It's not happening. Scotland voted no for independence so Simpson and Wilson will continue to ride for GB!

IMO there is no GB anymore, it's more of the haves and have nots and going by the result 1/2 the population are of the sane mind, we could be here for weeks talking about it, it's all moot now tho

I'm going out on a whim here, but I think most English people where hoping for a yes vote, I know I was.

Not that it really matters anymore.
