So many riders out especially some big dogs like RV retiring it kind of leaves the door open for James to possibly run away with a few more championships. Of course he will need to answer to the likes of Dungey and Roczen but James has that talent that could really set him apart. I would love to see it personally.

Not a hater here, love watching that guy ride, but to answer the question "will he dominate" No.

Of course he will. Everyone knows the best way to get faster and dominate is to not race for 16 months. Dizzy

The odds certainly aren't good are they? When was the last time he "dominated"? 2009? Seven seasons ago?

Competitive: yes
Dominate: not likely

Too many talented people to assume he's gunna run away with it.

If you answer no does that make you a hater? I think its unrealistic to expect him to dominate in 2016 as long as Roczen Dungey Tomac Reed Barcia Canard and others are in the SX and MX series.

James will be really really good next year. I think he will have more wins than Dungey and Roczen. He's fresh and motivated. He will be dangerous and I believe will be the guy in the drivers seat for the championship both indoors and out. But it is motocross and anything can/will happen.

There will probably be days like Toronto a couple years ago where he's just on another level then the field. But I don't see him being much faster then Ken and Eli. And over a whole series I don't think he can beat these 2 + dungey
Should be interesting though, I may be wrong of course. He will come prepared is my guess

He is on a Suzuki, not sure if that's a good thing or not.

James will be fresh and motivated. Happy James is a fast James. I wouldn't call a domination, but I bet he'll be a big threat.

Not completely....Partially maybe.

Never underestimate a man with something to prove. I wager we will see a different JS7 next season. Focused like a lazer. I. Cant. Wait.

I was there and saw James Stewart go 1-1 at Highpoint and win his final outdoor national ever in 2014...

I'm not a hater, James didn't look happy even after he won... I really think he's looking forward to A1 not

With the current level of talent in the 450 class, nobody will dominate like the McGrath era...

I wouldn't bet on it, but it wouldn't shock me if he did.

He will be competitive. He will win. But my guess is that he crashes at some point during the season and misses some rounds. Having something to prove, I can see him riding a bit harder than he should at times...and that doesn't always end well. I'd love to see another guy up there battling every weekend. The past few years there's been some good races, but for the most part it's boring. Hopefully it starts to change soon.

Not saying he can't but like most things in life it doesn't get easier with age.

He'll definitely win races but it's hard to see him suddenly not hitting the deck a half dozen times over the season... Both he and Reed have been pretty inconsistent since 2009 (You could argue James was that year too!)

Dungey, Eli and Kenny are all going as quick as anyone has or does... Barcia probably will too. It'll be tough.

At 30 years old I would rather see him go out the way Windham did, rather than trying to dominate.
Hopefully the older JS7 can dial it back a little, but I'm not sure if he has that in him.

Good luck James, and welcome back.

I hope he just wants to compete. The whole concept of dominating has led to many dirt samples. He doesnt need any more of those.
