Ok we all know JS7 plans to return to racing. The question is will Yoshimura Suzuki extend his contract?

2015 was going to be his last year. There are really no factory teams left for him to ride for and he would retire before riding on a satellite team.

Thoughts???

Their loss if they don't extend. JS7 back on a bike will bring more publicity than any other rider no matter where he finishes. Red Bull is a pretty smart company when it comes to publicity. They could bring in all the support he needs just to have him out there.

True...but will they extend it?

I'm thinking it may work out like Windham's contract and he will be able to ride as long as chooses to?

With an insurance policy LIKELY paying his salary this year, it would make sense for Suzuki to extend it another year for no additional cost

I believe I remember him and the team saying that they were together until he retires. As long as he wants to keep racing they will support him.

This is a smart move on Suzuki's part. James is a guy who will be visible in the sport for long after he retires. It seems the RC/Suzuki relationship is working out great eight years after he retired, so I wouldn't be surprised if they're trying to go the same route with James.

Obviously if they are paying James to sit home they plan on racing with him. If they were going to part ways I'm sure they would of done it by now. James failed a test so I doubt they would of had trouble getting out of his current contract.

He's never ridden for Honda, other than that super-secret testing session he did way back when.

I don't think Honda would ever sign him, however....

Not sure an insurance policy would pay when he got caught with a banned PID and he got suspended, hurt yes but banned for a year I dont think so.

He clearly hasn't forgot, and I hope he doesn't forget why that all happened.

Adding to the conversation, great!

It gets REALLY old when people start thread after thread about James.. you are one of the top nut huggers on here so I don't expect you to understand, but he's suspended. I don't really agree with his punishment but that's what it is.

Lets talk about him when he starts racing. Get the balls off your chin bro

Haha I doubt it very much. Chad stated on the last pulpmx that they barely says hi to each other.
