I agree. If he stays healthy he has a great shot. He is a person who needs to slow down to go faster. He has been leagues better than anyone in the 250 class, but still pushes so hard he makes a lot of mistakes and gets hurt. Now in MXGP, he has a lot of guys who are just as fast, and a bike that everyone knows when your wreck on a 450, it's normally bad. If he takes a step back, could make him better if that makes sense.
If Gajser stays healthy he will be he man to beat. He was the fastest ride in pretty much every round last year by quite a bit.... I think his speed at the beginning of the year will be a notch faster than Jeffrey.
Well, Herlings has had 7 seasons as a pro, only in 2 of them has he contested in all motos.
He's world champion if he doesn't get hurt, I'm pretty sure. But that's a huge IF.
Should be a great season though. Gajser and especially Febvre will be fired up to stop the guy.

Gajser is a wild man, he always looks like he is millimeters from a complete yard sale. Love his style, but he too is one that needs to slow down just a bit.
Tim's scrubs looks like they can bite him at any second.
I have a feeling AC222 will be getting the title next year. Hes had some bad luck, but i dont think hes done. Then again i wouldnt be surprised one bit if gajser, febvra, or herlings take it when its all said and done

While I'd really like to see AC222 win another one, I don't think it's in the cards... He's a contender for a podium, but wins are going to be tough for him next year, IMO. I hope I'm wrong, I'd love to see that happen, he's a class act.
I'm with everyone else who thinks it's very probable , if Herrlings can race every round, he'll win it. They aren't going to make it easy for him though...
He's pretty full of himself too, that could end up hurting his dwindling popularity.
He'll probably do the same beating as he did in MX2.
I'm not surprised if he says after winning the first 8 motos that he wants to pursue a perfect season.
It would be stupid to bet against him. Healthy Herlings is a beast, I just hope he doesn;t ride over his head and crash, so that we'll have an opportunity to see an amazing MXGP season.
Id like to see cairoli take it, add one more title to his incredible career. Itll come down to febvre, gajser, herlings, and cairoli. Whoever can stay healthy and consistent for what 20 rounds? Kinda wish Gajser was racing in the US for 2018 tho. Put him on a 250 in sx for a learning year 450 mx, then full time on a 450 in 2018.

That's OK by me, I don't like having 2 classes.

I think he can and will do it. He should be the odds on favorite, he's a freak. I can't wait for the season to start!
