Why not add a 125 Two Stroke class?

Bring Back Two Stroke MX

If Wilson had a faster lap time than any 450, why not add a 125 two stroke class?

Careful, you may start a massive pissing contest.

I, for one, would love to see AND hear a 125 two stroke class. I wouldn't be against them adding a 250 class as we'll.

Why not? Well, first off because the AMA is chock full of idiots. They were a decade ago and still are today.

The AMA rules state that a 125 2 stroke and a 250 2 stroke belong in the same class, along with a 250 4 stroke. Yet at the same time their rules also won't allow anything over 125cc 2 stroke in the same class as a 250 4 stroke.

Say what??? No, say WTF....Huh

The greedy phuckers were too busy stealing from their members to pay attention to what the hell they were doing.

Why would you need bikes that are homologated for it? I think a simple set of rules would suffice just fine.
Production based,125cc, no "works parts".....

Yamaha and KTM? Yeah, let's not mention TM or the Husky that Vital MX pimped up for the GH race.

BBTSMX.ORG is working on the ridiculous AMA engine rule, stupid engine classes, lites. SX. 250/450 when it is really a "F" stroke only class.
My wife asked me when watching SX a few years back "when do the heavies race?" she thought after seeing the lites class there would be a heavy class. I laughed and thought to myself the AMA is a bunch of idiots.
We have 14 thousand members on fb and counting, any suggestions other than a petition which we are working on would be greatly appreciated.
Its not a dead horse yet.

I like seeing the engineering part of it, I say run what ya brung as in the 90's. There is plenty of Killer looking 125 machines out there right now that would put on a great show.

I don't think 125's would be a good pro class nowadays. As much as I love 2 strokes, they are more of an amateur learning bike nowadays. Don't get me wrong, I think the rules are bs. A 250f and 250t should be able to race the same class. But 125's are just too small for pro racing these days. The game changed when 450's came into the picture

because the cam chain would make the powervalve stick.
they don't even make a powerband in that color.
